“Solid choice from the beginning

Pros

It's really easy to use and figure out. Setting it up was a piece of cake and training others to use it once we launched was just as simple.

Cons

Outlook doesn't integrate right now but I've been told it'll be available before the end of 2025.

“Top-tier service & sleek design

Pros

I love how clean and sleek it looks. It's simple on the backend too which makes managing everything a lot easier.

Cons

There were a few features I expected to be available but we had to do some customizations to make them work.

“Best choice for intranet services

Their team is amazing! They're always so responsive, open to feedback and offer timely advice. Even after everything was set up they kept helping us. Whenever we had any issues they worked hard to fix them quickly. They gave us just the right amount of help and guidance while still letting us personalize the intranet to fit exactly what we needed.

Cons

I would've liked more info upfront before our sessions to make them more efficient. Most of my team had never used an intranet so it was all new to them. It also would've been helpful to meet with the team after the content inventory to talk about how we were going to set up the content. We wanted documents in a document library, not a separate page for each piece of content. We didn't spend enough time discussing content types like pages, groups and sections. I think if our sessions were more hands-on instead of just learning we would've made more progress. Just send us the overview, the PowerPoint and a video and we could've created everything together during the meeting.

Pros

The new feature releases are great and always consider current trends like AI. The tech support and account help have been fantastic and I love the abili ty to submit ideas for improvements.

Cons

Sometimes it's a bit hard to find up-to-date support materials on specific features on the site.

“Great for non-tech users

Pros

I like how any changes made to links or profile information automatically update across the entire site. For instance, if someone's supervisor changes, it reflects on their profile too. Plus it's so simple that even non-web-savvy people can create and manage their own sites easily.

Cons

The fact that I have to remove or reassign ownership of a user's content before I can remove them from the system can be a hassle. I get that it's a "social intranet," but it would be great to share working files directly in the system (like letting multiple people work on the same document). That would be a big improvement.

The setup process was really thorough and the staff is both super helpful and knowledgeable. They made sure we were all set up properly.

Cons

There's some limited functionality when it comes to design and aesthetics but the huge variety of widgets and features kind of makes up for it.

It is easy to use and the language preferences feature is super useful. It made things more accessible for everyone.

I didn't like that I couldn't get more creative with the templates unless I pay for extra features.

They've got an amazing variety of resources on their community page which makes finding support and inspiration simple. Plus the platform itself is really user-friendly and customizable so we could make it work just right for our needs.

I wish there was more design support and flexibility but we're still learning. Luckily our in-house design team has been super helpful.

It helps me stay informed and collaborate easily. Plus it's super helpful for finding information quickly across all the pages.

The templates don't offer much customization so we still have to stick to the ones created by ThoughtFarmer's backend.

It's very cost-effective, responsive and the support is excellent. They've also been really accommodating with requested customizations over the years.

The admin rights could use a little tweaking but it's not a huge problem for me.

The customer service is amazing! The team is always friendly, super helpful and quick to respond. The rest of the team has also been awesome to work with.

Cons

It has a lot of great widgets and cards but there are a few I've seen on other platforms that I'd love to have here like more page layout options, an accordion feature that doesn't need subpages, upvoting and more options for image placement.
