“Best for goal-driven tours
Pros
It was really easy for my team to start using Userpilot. We were up and running quickly and we saw results pretty fast. The best part is how customizable it is, it feels like it's part of our product and we can use it for different goals like user onboarding, engagement, conversions or guided tours for training.
Cons
It could definitely be more customizable and use AI technologies to help create better experiences. It'd be great if there were more templates and while creating flows, it could offer best practices and suggestions to help improve. Analytics could also be more insightful, showing what's working and what's not along with tips on how to improve.

“Easy to pick up & use
Pros
Userpilot is super easy to use. I can create onboarding flows for new features in no time and if a developer had to do it, it would take over a week. It's also really simple to create spotlight features.
Cons
I've noticed that sometimes when I create flows on Userpilot, the interface hangs and takes a bit longer to load. A few times, it even eats up my RAM which is annoying.

“Smooth way to bring clients
Pros
The templates for onboarding were very easy and keeping our clients updated on new releases was so easy with this tool. We had a new APK version coming out every month, so highlighting new features was important. It made it so easy to train users and show them the changes.
Cons
It's missing some project management tools and adding those features would really make it a one-stop shop for all onboarding needs.

“Simple to set up
Pros
I can now design the perfect onboarding process for our users, thanks to all the essential onboarding tools Userpilot offers. The customer service is excellent too. Whenever I run into a problem, they respond quickly with really helpful solutions. Plus, the interface is so user-friendly that even beginners can create and share their own engagement sequences.
Cons
When it comes to analytics, this isn't the best. I have to rely on integrations if I want to get the most out of my customer data. Unfortunately, there aren't many integration options available but if I stick with tools like Amplitude, Google Analytics, HubSpot and Segment, I'm good to go.

“Bad customer service
Pros
I wasn't really getting any value out of this product for the $199/month price, so I decided to cancel. It turns out you can't cancel in the app, you have to reach out to customer service and they make you fill out a survey before they'll cancel your account. They literally refuse to cancel without it, which feels like a shady practice. Now I'm spending my time leaving a bad review. Great job.
Cons
The price is pretty outrageous and customer service could really use some improvement.

“Improves user engagement
Pros
I really liked that the editor was a "what you see is what you get" type. It's flexible and easy to design something that looks good. You can create custom flows based on user segments, so different people get different experiences based on their actions or the data you have on them.
Cons
I've run into some glitches where the app freezes and I end up having to redo my work. Since It is still a fairly young company, I imagine these issues will be worked out over time.

“Top tool for getting users on board
Pros
We've tried Appcues and Chameleon but Userpilot was by far the best. We loved that it offered both proactive and reactive onboarding features. Plus, after the basic setup, it was super easy to do feature tagging and A/B testing.
Cons
Honestly I haven't found anything bad about this tool so far.

“Really awesome solution
Pros
It is so simple and fun to use. It gave us all the tools we needed to boost user adoption and we've received great feedback from our customers.
Cons
Right now, I don't have anything negative to say. In fact, the support has been amazing whether it's technical support or helping us set up our flows, they've been super helpful.

“Perfect for showing off features
Pros
The process for creating tours and experiences is so user-friendly and interactive. Being able to pass custom data into the system is awesome. Unlike other tools, you can control which devices the tours are shown on.
Cons
We've had a few bugs when trying to build more complex tours. The technical documentation could definitely be better, too.

“Smooth onboarding process
Pros
The customized templates from Userpilot help users get to those "AHA" moments faster. It's useful not just for new customers (when you need to explain how things work) but also for existing ones when you want to share new features. And what I love is that it's easy to install, no coding required!
Cons
The initial cost might be a bit of a deal-breaker for some but once you get the hang of it, you'll really love this tool.

“Great support & quick deployment
Pros
It stands out in the product experience software space in so many ways. Their support is really helpful, the product is well-structured and the pricing is friendly for startups. Overall, we've been super satisfied.
Cons
During the deployment of 3rd party software into our SaaS app, we ran into some issues but customer support fixed everything within hours. No complaints overall.

“My fav tool!
Pros
I've tried lots of user product tour tools but nothing beats how easy and user-friendly It is. Plus, it has enough features to meet all my needs.
Cons
I can't really complain about anything. I've been using it for two years and it's improved a lot during that time.
