It is a reliable tool

Pros

It's great choice for voice calls and convenient for using both on your phone and computer.

Cons

Texting plays a significant role in our work but the texting feature has either been removed or just doesn't function anymore.

Pros

At first, it was fantastic but only having partial capabilities ended up being a hindrance to normal work activities.

Cons

The SMS feature has been down for months and I have had to switch between apps to make calls or send texts.

Need to restore SMS functionality

Pros

Completely unreliable and full of glitches. Losing customers every day. Entire sales and tech support outsourced with no care. It feels like screaming into an empty space

Pros

It offers good features like call recording and SMS (when it doesn't lose messages).

Cons

I am actually going to give someone from the North America team a chance to reach out before I leave a detailed report of my experience over the past 7 years as a customer paying $150 per month. This experience includes numerous full outages, intermittent call and SMS outages (nothing comes through on our end, despite clients trying to call and send SMS on their end), and various software glitches. This eventually led to an ongoing SMS outage (even after resolving the campaign registry) that caused lost clients and two weeks of complete unresponsiveness from tech support. I own a courier service and clients sending SMS for urgent medication deliveries or funeral flower arrangements never reached us. Hundreds of these messages were lost. Now, just four days ago, outgoing SMS is working again, but incoming SMS is still down, which, as you can imagine, is the critical communication. A little switcharoo occurred, and it has been a nightmare. I have even had nightmares because of it.

Pros

Vonage was useful for communication outside the office with a single main inbox.

Cons

It took a while to connect calls, and the coverage was spotty at times.

Easy to use and useful

Pros

It's an easy program for our agents and supervisors to pick up and use. It offers many customizable options that integrate well with Salesforce. I also appreciate their community hub, which allows me as a manager to stay updated on issues others face, providing great transparency and relief from stress.

Cons

There are still some features missing, such as helpful reports for nonprofit work, specific metrics and an easier way to monitor calls. I wish there was a way to customize the page so I could track everything needed. While there have been a few issues, we have mostly been able to resolve them in a timely manner.

Exceptional customer support

Pros

While every VOIP has its issues, Vonage's customer service is exceptional. They always finish tasks and answer every question.

Cons

The setup was complicated for me since I'm not an expert in phone analytics.

offers good service for the price

Pros

I used Vonage for a year before switching to another company that offered me a better price. I never had problems with the service; it was reliable, just a bit pricier for the options they provided.

Cons

It's too expensive for the options provided and some other companies offer similar features at a lower cost. Also reaching support is harder compared to other companies.

Great software with excellent support

Pros

Vonage is simple to set up, and their customer service is phenomenal. I have several customers who love the price and service.

Cons

My least favorite aspect is the mobile app, as it tends to crash more than expected, especially on non-iPhone devices.

bad experience with the customer service

Pros

The price was reasonable for the services we needed.

Cons

Getting in touch with customer service was difficult. They sent me an office phone that I couldn't use without an ethernet cable, and my router was in another room. Eventually, I found a router extender that allowed me to connect the phone to the internet, but no one in tech support seemed to be aware of this simple solution. Additionally, they told me that cancelling auto-renewal required a 60-day advance notice. I did this, only to discover that the request didn't actually stop them from automatically charging my credit card for the service, even after I had ported out my number. The setup was challenging for me, and I couldn't get adequate help from them. Their service was inconsistent, and even though my wife and I both had the app on our phones, calls didn't always come through on both devices.

Not what we were promised !! all the hype, none of the product

Pros

The app had a very nice layout.

Cons

Nothing worked as promised. We were told by sales and our project manager that we had access to these features but when we tried to use them, we were asked to pay extra fees or told the features didn't exist at all.

If you're looking for a big brand with a hefty price tag

Pros

Our call quality was always clear, and we never experienced dropped or missed calls.

Cons

We don't like the high price point and the long contracts that auto-renew without notification, even on weekends or holidays.

Outstanding customer service!

Pros

The best thing about Vonage Business Communications is their customer service. The reps really make an effort to help and take a proactive approach, which is rare in the telecom industry.

Cons

Sometimes when trying to get information from their billing department, they couldn't provide it. This seems to be more of an operational issue than a personnel issue.
