Pros

It is very customizable, which is what I like most about Construction Online. Their format is generally appropriate for the jobs we do but can be modified as needed. I have a tendency to be "over creative" with what I ask of Construction Suite at times, resulting in my clicking on the wrong thing. But I have used it to my advantage and discovered a lot of tricks to improve my workflow that even the customer service team was amazed to learn about. Whenever there’s an issue, and it is almost always my fault, the tech support has always come through for me.

Cons

There is nothing wrong with construction online that I have found over the years. Its just that they keep changing the layout with each new update. Defaulting my customizations and forcing me to redo everything. I understand that they always do what’s best for everyone, not just me, but I do not appreciate this frequent change. Learning a new layout every year has become the norm for me. Having said that, they have always worked to improve it.

Pros

I speak for my entire team when I say that we love the estimation reports generated by Construction Online. It has great templates that speed up our work and are well received by our clients and contractors. We have just started using it, but we have high expectations that this software will become crucial to our business dealings moving forward.

Cons

The number of features it offers is staggering, making it somewhat challenging to use. One missing feature I can point out is the absence of a bid management component to request, collect, and incorporate supplier and subcontractor bids into a proposal.

The best feature in this software is by far the messaging portal. It has helped us streamline all our conversations and keep all the employees in loop.

We use time tracking feature the least since it is not fully functional as Quickbooks times we used before.

The thing it does great is Estimation. Job costing also works fairly well.

Cons

Some very basic features have been missing for over a year now and nothing changes. We cannot provide our clients with alternate pricing. We cannot assign a job number to each of our projects. The list goes on.

Keeps your organization working smoothly no matter the size with efficient communication between all aspects. Works across all major platforms.

There is no way to jump between projects you are doing. You have to back all the way up to select a different one and it just wastes time.

Pros

We have had huge success integrating Construction Online in estimating, scheduling, and job costing. The scheduling has allowed our project handlers to plan in advance and has led to a smooth construction process.

Automatically generated documents are helpful but sending them to your clients in a format you want is a nightmare.

I have a lot to learn and so far there is no query of mine that hasnt been resolved by the COL team right away! They are all so professional with complete knowledge of all possible problems.

We cannot assign the same email address to a person who has signed up for two different projects with us. We ran into this just one time but it is an issue that needs fixing.

UI is intuitive and transitions between one element to another is so smooth. All sections are well presented quick to access.

Whatever editing you do on the desktop version will just vanish when you access from the mobile app. It is very frustrating.

Good flexibility and organization tools, easy to create to catalogues and ease in creating estimates!

Often ended up loosing a client because I could not find the clients number at the right time and missed that opportunity.

There are very few options on the market if you are looking for similar features as CO. It is worth the price and makes your work easier.

We moved from Construction suite to Construction online and some of the features that we used before are missing here.

There are so many simple features that I like about this product such as the messaging which is basically an email system but so perfectly dedicated to a specific project. It has opened a whole new world for me.

Some of the features do not meet my expectations such as Change orders. They seem to be less robust than competition.

It has helped me manage all my tasks under one platform and do away with hectic paperwork.

I often have to merge different blueprints together which is something this software is not great at. It sometimes sort them out of sequence.
