“My Dash Review”
Pros
The dashboard was very easy on the eyes and simple for me as a project manager to understand. It's perfect for invoicing and tracking costs in each file, as well as overall profitability.
Cons
The online site kept crashing, and the app for taking pictures crashed a lot too, often causing me to lose pictures. There was a lot of lagging on the online platform, which happened frequently. This might have improved by now.

“Dash University”
Pros
I appreciate having a separate training site, Dash University.
Cons
I don't like that there is not an administrative role in Dash Univ to view all the courses and options for each position to make training easier. I also wish Dash University was more interactive and let me practice 'test' jobs in DASH.

“The ONLY crm for the restoration industry.”
Pros
DASH is designed with restoration professionals in mind. Whether on the desktop or mobile app, all the essential functions for running a successful restoration business are right there at your fingertips.
Cons
In terms of marketing, DASH doesn't do a great job at tracking relationships. They bought another company, "Luxor," to fix this, but I have to pay an additional monthly fee for that program.

“Good features, not so great network.”
Pros
DASH helps ensure I never miss a task or deadline. The feature to set up reminders and workflows is phenomenal.
Cons
The system always crashed, and there was not a proper sales lead dashboard; everything had to start as a job. The marketing capabilities were very minimal despite being marketed as equipped. The app for our field team was TERRIBLE! It lacked integration apart from QuickBooks.

“We love Dash!”

“Needs to be mobile friendly”
Pros
I love being able to write notes and upload pictures. You can upload up to 10 pics at a time, and it lets you know if the upload was successful. If not, the job turns red.
Cons
I have to press enter to write notes and see what I'm writing. I can't upload videos, and the mobile version makes it hard to view any documents, plus I'm always getting error messages.

“Good interface”
Pros
Adding information for jobs is remarkably very easy. The process is designed to be intuitive, making it easy to input and manage details without any hassle. Whether I'm entering job specifics or updating existing records, everything flows smoothly and efficiently. This simplicity ensures that I can focus more on the tasks at hand rather than struggling with complicated data entry.
Cons
It's slow at times and syncing data with jobs is difficult.

“I didn't realize how bad until I went elsewhere.”
Pros
This product performs worse than my current software. No joke.
Cons
DASH is clunky mess. It's hard to describe how bad it is until you use something that actually works. The mobile app is useless, and photo management is slow.

“Better than the Competition”
Pros
The workflow builder in DASH is absolutely amazing. It allows me to define workflows by division and type of work. The system not only prompts me to complete tasks but also takes me directly to where I need to perform them. For instance, if I need to upload a Work Authorization, it pulls up the document for the customer to sign. If I need to upload photos, it directs me to the right album.
Cons
The interface is outdated, and I can't save custom views or filters on any of the grids within the program.

Pros
When it works, it provides considerable assistance to everyone.
Cons
The cost, constant user issues, and the fact that it won't track equipment as a primary feature are ridiculous.

“Nextgear Dash systems”
Pros
It integrates seamlessly with other software systems we use. The reporting and task management are great for keeping employees on track and ensuring no control points are missed during a project.
Cons
The mobile platform has had issues, mainly freezing and shutting down in the middle of tasks. However, this has improved with software updates over the past year.

“Valuable partner”
Pros
DASH was developed by industry experts who understand restoration. The support is knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt. Creating and modifying workflows is easy, and the software integrates with Exactimate and Quickbooks. The more we use it, the more valuable it becomes due to its deep functionality.
Cons
Like any comprehensive program, there are a few glitches and bugs that need to be fixed. I've talked to their developers about these, and they seem to listen and address the issues.

“Full DASH review”
Pros
The sales team is definitely skilled at selling. I mostly like that everything is in one program. It integrates with Quickbooks and Xactimate, so everything is visible in one place. The mobile app is great because it lets employees access jobs, dates, phone numbers, and more. Plus, calling through the app automatically prompts users to leave a note and records it to the job file. The app also tracks equipment and drying records. Dry Track is a great feature for tracking drying and equipment needs for each room, especially if you have many employees. The Accounting tab is wonderful for checking job statuses and budgets, linking with date trackers to show when a lien is due. It has work order and invoice inputs along with many additional features.
Cons
It uses a lot of screen space. The lists don't expand; I can only view 50 items at a time and have to scroll through a small window. The Calendar/Schedule is absolutely useless. They bought Client Runner, which had an excellent calendar, but they haven't used it. The mobile app is hit or miss for photos. My techs always complain about the time it takes to upload and use the app. Also, it should ask before going offline, but it never does. I only find out later when I can't upload anything, losing everything I entered. Dry Track can only be used from the app, adding 2-3 hours to set up and 1-2 hours to maintain readings. It's a headache to enter all the info from a phone or tablet. It would be easier to send the info to the office for someone to enter it on the desktop, but you can't do that, making it unaffordable for most smaller companies. It has a great equipment inventory tracking program, but it needs to be entered from the field, preventing techs from completing emergency services. Smaller companies can't afford to have 1 or 2 employees just entering Dry Track and equipment info. The document builder is great but only allows for 2 customer signatures and 2 initials. The report builder has many options but misses important items like the date lines need to be placed. I could go on and on!

“Use a chalk board, it's more efficient and will save you a ton of cash and headaches!”
Pros
The sales staff is excellent! If they can sell this, they can sell anything!
Cons
This software does a ton of things but is a "Jack of all trades, master of none." It seems like it was developed by multiple coding teams, so what you can do on one screen doesn't always match what you can do on another. Plus, you'll need multiple screens, pen and paper, a computer programmer's skills, Excel knowledge, and about a month to learn how to set it up, with a few more months to actually set it up once you've learned. You'll also have to figure out what it can't do to get it to do what it can.
