“Adding ad-hoc items is such a breeze, and always generate accurate time estimation
Pros
Creating ad-hoc items has never been easier! I particularly appreciate how precise the labor hours for material installation are. I have used it for a 743-hour job. Yet, after all the panels, lights, m/c cables, switches, receptacles, and low voltage, the software came up within six hours of the actual time it took to execute the job.
Cons
It has been tough to conduct breakout prices, and the only solution Ive gotten from the support team is to undergo training. Unfortunately, I have found none of the movements to be conducive.

Pros
I'm convinced this software is worth every penny I put into it. Having the right tools to craft professional, competitive bids has seriously boosted my odds of winning more projects. I honestly recouped my investment in no time..it's paid for itself many times over.
Cons
A small enhancement to the pricing database would help me keep material costs up to date and enable more accurate pricing.

“standout familiar office commands
Pros
The standout feature is that it uses familiar commands which are compatible with standard Office suites so I can work with it more easily and without a steep learning curve.
Cons
What bothers me is that the price feels relatively high given what it actually delivers. I expect more features for that cost and I consider it rather basic considering its price tag.

“simple to use tool but poor customer service
Pros
We found the software really simple to use as it was easy to figure out where everything is right from the start. We were very pleased with how simple it felt and it definitely gave us good value for our money.
Cons
If I had to pick the thing I liked least, it's the customer support. It's rather slow and after that initial phone call I ended up waiting for a callback from an agent.

“Integrates well with Windows
Pros
I'm impressed by how well it ties into Windows. If you're used to Microsoft Windows and the Office suite it's really simple to move around the program. I can also use familiar Windows commands like copy and paste directly inside the application.
Cons
While I find that upgrades and responses to customer requests could be delivered more quickly, the support team is friendly and knowledgeable. Still I often have to wait for a callback typically around 20 to 40 minutes after I first call.

Pros
It links up with dedicated pricing and takeoff software and my uploading processes completed without any problems.
Cons
What really annoys me is that the process requires entering codes just to enable the integration between the takeoff software and the estimating software.

Pros
Really impressed by how easy it is to use and that I can build my own custom assemblies. Training is offered regionally and over the phone if I need it, their customer support responds quickly and best of all there are no monthly hidden fees!!!!
Cons
It still isn't cloud-based which is a drawback for me. I've noticed the software seems focused more on residential features and there are certain commercial functions I wish it included to make my commercial work easier that would be very helpful.

“Useful for bidding multiple large jobs
Pros
When I'm bidding several large jobs this software is useful to have on hand. It really organizes the process. I managed to learn the program myself simply by experimenting and tinkering with its features.
Cons
If I'm not juggling multiple large contracts or big bids I don't see having this program as a necessary expense considering how much it costs.

Pros
One thing I really liked was how the materials are laid out and the spreadsheet-style format. It made it simple for me to pick out the exact items tied to each part of a quote, plus the bid breakout page was very helpful.
Cons
When I bought the software I assumed I owned it outright but I was surprised to find it will shut down if I don't use it for 30 days. Also whenever I replace my PC which happens to me fairly often, I have to buy the program again or pay a fee to restore what I'd already purchased since there is no way to transfer the license.

The biggest benefit is that it lets estimators use their time more effectively because I can perform takeoffs directly on-screen without having to print any hardcopies.

What I miss are more formatting choices for form letters. For example I'd really like the ability to use rich text formatting as an option.

Pros
Starting bids is very fast and I can make item edits straight from the audit screen. I'm still exploring everything this program has to offer.
Cons
In the standard edition I have limited access to the database so I must upgrade to the Plus or Pro edition to get access to those items.

I really appreciate how simple the software is. I can quickly locate items and add them into the system without any fuss.
Cons
Unfortunately when I extend my materials and later add additional takeoffs the program won't reapply the previous extensions in the same way which causes inconsistencies.
