“Simplifies Invoicing and Budget Tracking”
Pros
It has saved us a lot of time. Previously, we logged lump sums in Excel without knowing which invoice they belonged to and then had to dig through QuickBooks to figure it out. Now with one click in Premier and all related invoices appear. It is easy to drill down and spot discrepancies right away which has been a game changer. Our project managers have way more visibility into budgets, spending, and cost allocations now. Without it, they'd be clueless about charges, subcontract statuses, and invoices, which used to get misallocated.
Cons
The rollout took a little longer than we expected. We had some major discrepancies between Premier and QuickBooks in our opening balances but once those were fixed, everything has been running smoothly.

“Makes projects and accounting simple”
Pros
Premier has really connected accounting, project management and field operations into one streamlined platform. We can track all the major buckets through a single interface which has become essential for our operations. It simplifies even complex processes. Progress billing is also simple now and I can quickly review AP invoices whether they are pending, approved or on hold. So I know our end of month billing reflects what truly happened in the field. Previously, with outdated systems, costs, time, and change orders could easily spiral out of control. Now, it provides us with a reliable way to keep everything in check
Cons
As with most implementations there were a few bumps in the road, but overall the transition was smooth once setup was finished. The support team has been excellent with training modules, quick responses, tutorials and a solid knowledge base.

“Real Time Data for Instant Insights and Control”
Pros
The real time data in this software has been invaluable. It allows us to catch issues immediately instead of waiting until the end of the month or quarter. Each project dashboard works almost like its own mini company where you can see receivables, payables, profitability and more with just one click. I use the OData feature constantly as it lets me pull live data straight into Excel at the push of a button and I can refresh it whenever I need. That's been my go to feature for over three years.
Cons
With any software you will always need to fine tune certain things for your specific needs. What I like is that the support team is quick to respond and works with you to resolve issues so your team can succeed.

“A modern tool that works for us”
Pros
When we were exploring new software, what stood out about this tool was how modern and flexible it felt. Many other platforms seemed outdated or too rigid. Our design build model does not fit the traditional GC structure so we needed software that could adapt to our way of working not force us into a box.
Cons
No implementation is ever 100% smooth but the training and onboarding support really helped us. I led the process internally and the key was getting buy in from the team. Change is never simple but once everyone was on board, the benefits were clear.

“Automation That Actually Saves Time”
Pros
In the past few years we have really taken advantage of Premier's automation. The expense app has been a huge time saver as now employees can upload expenses in real time and allocate them themselves which cut down the workload for accounting. We have also rolled out the Smart UI with AI integration, which has made AP entry much faster and I know that's just the beginning. On top of that the customer support has been fantastic. I also have monthly check ins with a support team member and I always walk away with new ideas to explore for saving more time.
Cons
I don't have any major complaints about it. Whenever something comes up the team is quick to jump in and provide support.

“Beats Quickbooks and Excel”
Pros
The job dashboard has been a game changer bringing all our project data into one central view. We never had that kind of visibility with QuickBooks, Procore or Excel. It has given us clear approval processes and real time insights that impact the whole company. For accounting it's been fantastic, matching invoices directly with estimates so costs go where they should like no guesswork involved. Also the purchase order process linked to job estimates has cut down on errors and improved cost tracking. We are also starting to use it for inventory and the three way match feature is set to significantly boost our efficiency.
Cons
Looking back I think the implementation would have gone even smoother if we had spent more time upfront reviewing and refining our own internal processes.

“All Our Projects and Finances, Organized in One Place”
Pros
What convinced us to go with it was how it put everything in one place. Before we had to export reports, wait for downloads and then email them to PMs just so they would know what was outstanding. Now they can see it in real time. The job dashboard gives them the exact info they need. I can generate AP reports in seconds when it used to take half an hour and payroll that took two days now takes minutes. We no longer rely on outdated numbers as we have current, reliable data. The Sub Pay App has also been a big benefit too as PMs process invoices directly, so nothing gets stuck in inboxes. Also we even reduced our accounting staff by one person and are still more profitable. Cost Plus billing is simpler too as invoices are pulled automatically and if we're not billing this month, they roll over easily. We even have cut errors, trust our data and estimate we save nearly $50,000 annually thanks to Premier.
Cons
Like with any new system there was an initial learning curve and some adjustments needed to fit it into our processes.

“Brings transparency in our Finances”
Pros
The dashboard is my favorite feature as it gives a clear picture of project financials, showing the baseline, changes and their impact. I also like the flexibility to analyze portfolios however we need whether by line of business or by project manager. Plus there is much better communication between accounting and operations now, with everyone taking ownership of financial data. Leaders can get information directly, without waiting on someone else. It has also boosted efficiency by automating routine tasks and making both finance and operations more effective.
Cons
One area that I feel like could be improved is the early learning curve with certain features. Though, once you get used to them it's very easy to work with.

“One of the best tools I have tried!”
Pros
Before using this software everything was manual from accounting in QuickBooks to spreadsheets in Excel and piles of paper. It was time consuming and error prone process. As our workload grew we needed construction specific software and this tool was exactly that. Now our processes are paperless, organised and accessible from anywhere. The transition took effort but the team supported us the whole way. It is easy to use, reduces mistakes, saves time and helps us manage jobs smoothly.
Cons
Getting set up did take some effort and time of ours but thanks to the guidance and support we managed the transition successfully.

“Manages projects and finances in one place”
Pros
What I like most is how it combines financial reporting with project management in one place. In the past finance and project accounting were separate and syncing them often caused duplicate entries and reconciliation headaches. With it, workflows automatically send transactions to the right people for approval, so we dont have to keep double checking everything. Financial reporting is way faster now, and the controls are stronger, which means we can focus on moving forward instead of cleaning up old mistakes. Also I value that it continues improving unlike other systems I have used in my 30+ years in construction which barely evolve.
Cons
I do not really have any major concerns about it. Occasionally a minor issue pops up but their support team is always quick to assist and resolve it.

“Solid product and a Responsive team”
Pros
We manage 500 to 750 employees depending on the season and before Premier, we used multiple systems like Avantage Pro, Sage 50 and Maestro along with spreadsheets. It was chaotic for tracking projects and budgets. What made it stand out to me was how user friendly it is which was my top priority. The Job Dashboard, forecasting tools and budget controls have been extremely valuable for both finance and project teams. Previously we could not properly track job costs or control budgets but now we can. The on site training was excellent too as the trainers took their time to make sure we really understood everything. Overall moving to it has been a huge upgrade from outdated processes.
Cons
Since we rely heavily on customization we requested a few tweaks to reports and similar functions. Not everything could be delivered right away but the team has been great about creating custom reports using ODATA which worked really well for us.

“Really easy to use construction tool!”
Pros
Premier is the most user friendly construction management platform I have ever worked with. The customizable client facing forms let us customize reports to client needs and the reporting tools like exporting to Excel save us time and increase capacity. Daily bank reconciliations are much easier now and EFT integration has cut weekly checks from 150 to just 10. The compliance checks also prevent payments until requirements are met, reducing errors. Also I love the job dashboard which gives PMs live insights into subcontracts, payables and performance. With this we are making smarter, data driven decisions.
Cons
Implementation can feel overwhelming at first because there is so much to learn but the team has been amazing in guiding us step by step through the process.

“I would definitely recommend it”
Pros
When I started six years ago we had just six employees. Now we are at 32 and our old systems could not keep up. QuickBooks handled accounting and Procore managed projects but they did not integrate, so we had to do manual double entries. A trusted referral led us to Premier and it's been transformative. Approval workflows alone save us hours since invoices no longer bounce back and forth by email as they are automatically routed and approved. PMs also see up to date financials weekly instead of waiting until month end which has helped us manage costs, handle change orders faster and keep clients updated. We also run a rental property business and being able to manage both companies in one system has been incredibly convenient.
Cons
One of the challenges we faced early on was how overwhelming the implementation process was. The transition seemed like a big task but the support team was outstanding as they made it as smooth as possible and helped us get comfortable quickly.

“A must have tool for Construction Industry”
Pros
Premier Construction Software is without a doubt the best tool for project management and contract administration. I also like the clean interface and how it organizes everything by discipline whether trades, subcontractors, builders or other professionals making it easier to track and manage detailed information.
Cons
The setup of fields and multiple tabs is probably my least favorite part. It can get a bit confusing, especially if you're not very familiar with the software or haven't had much training on it.

“Works the best and is vital for our business”
Pros
For me, it stands out for its functionality and ease of use. The lookup features are a huge help and I found myself moving around the system much faster than with Sage, which we used before and was overly complicated. Also generating or finding reports is simple with it. We have been using it for almost five years and I am still discovering new features as it can do so much. Job costing is very important for us and since we set each house up as its own job, I am in there constantly reviewing costs along with our PMs. I love being able to drill down into details as clicking on an invoice takes you straight to it. The journal audits are another handy tool for tracking entries. Honestly, it has become the backbone of our business and it plays a vital role in everything we do.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any cons to point out when it comes to this software.

“My go to ERP solution.”
Pros
I love how simple the project manager dashboard is. Its simple to click on hyperlinks to locate all the information I need and to communicate my demands to those who arent CPAs. I honestly couldnt find another ERP solution on the market for this price. I adore that the Income Statement Report allows me to click on a number and get all the information.
Cons
Even though starting up on this software is pretty easy, I would appreciate the extra assistance with creating custom reports or a webinar on system customization. Unfortunately, the implementation period is too hectic to focus on customization. Also, forced password resets bother me.
