Excellent product and friendly service

Pros

I love how It lets me manage every single part of a project in one place. It's super convenient. Plus, it's way more affordable than a lot of the other software I've looked at and honestly, their customer service? It's the best I've ever experienced with any software company. Hands down.

Cons

I think the user interface could use a bit of a refresh and it works fine but it could definitely look and feel more modern and smoother to use.

One place for tracking all project finances

Pros

It's so easy to use and getting real time data is a huge win for us. With staff constantly changing, it's been awesome to train new people quickly and keep projects moving with no big delays. Having everything in one place is a game changer and it means we don't have to enter the same info into four different systems anymore. Huge time saver!

Cons

Sometimes I totally forget to hit "submit" after entering stuff. That's on me, though, not the software's fault. Just wish there was a little reminder or something!

Amazing team though

Pros

Using It feels like we added five extra people to our team, only we don't have to pay them! It takes care of organizing, managing and sharing info so smoothly. I've used other platforms but this one is by far the easiest to pick up. Our GCs and architects were up and running on day one with barely any training. Once it's set up, sharing documents and info is literally just clicking a button.

Cons

We handle our Change Orders differently than most people and it was tough at first trying to make it work within the Owner InSite Budget setup. But their team really went above and beyond, they worked closely with us (even on a weekend!) to help tweak things and fix the display issues. That kind of support is rare.

Really impressive system

Pros

Setting up and managing projects in it, has been easy. Adding change orders and updating budgets is really simple and it always keeps our numbers up to date. That's a big deal for us.

Cons

Printing items one at a time took a lot of time. A batch print feature would make things way easier and save a ton of clicks.

Easy-to-use, tool with great support

Pros

Honestly, the best part about this tool isn't even the software, it's the amazing support team behind it. They really care about how everything works together which makes using the system super smooth. I love being able to email documents straight into the system but what really stands out is the transparency. Everyone, GCs, architects, stakeholders, stays in the loop when it comes to submittals, RFIs, and ASIs. It just makes everything run better.

Cons

Getting this set up with our usual workflows was smooth especially thanks to the support from the team. They were hands on with training, had helpful YouTube tutorials and even walked our partners through things one on one. We've come up with a few "nice-to-have" feature ideas along the way and the team was actually open to including those in updates. Even without those extras, the platform does exactly what we need it to.

Works great but could use better visual appeal

Pros

It's very user friendly and the customer service is top notch. Nothing more to say, it just works really well.

Smooth admin controls

Pros

So easy to use and the basic version of the software already comes packed with features that other programs would charge extra for. Everyone on our team picked it up quickly from accounting to design and document management. It's just really well put together.

Cons

I noticed there aren't any virtual backup files created automatically which would be a nice safety net to have.

Our team loves it!

Pros

It is awesome if you're managing construction projects from the owner's side. It takes care of everything, from design all the way through to maintenance. Solid system all around.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a little tricky to use especially since there's not always consistency in how contractors use certain features. It would be great if there were more standardization across the board.

Great support but customization needed for approval process

Pros

It is user friendly and if you ever need help, the support team's got your back. It's a solid combo.

Cons

It'd be really helpful to customize the approval process by design team role. Right now, it defaults to the Architect which can create liability issues. Also, having alerts for overdue RFIs or Submittals would make the review process smoother and more proactive.

Simple setup with great results

Pros

As an Owner's Rep, our needs are kinda unique and this software totally gets that. We tried other platforms but ditched them because they were clunky and just didn't work for us or our clients. It is simple, smart and efficient. The "Issues" tracking is my favorite, we don't have to send 50 emails anymore. Everyone just logs in and can see what's going on. The budget tracking is another big plus and detailed but still easy to use and the support team actually listens and adapts as the industry changes. That's rare.

Cons

Honestly, no big complaints. Everything's been working fine.

Easy, automatic updates but tracking features could improve

Pros

It's simple to use. We didn't even need formal training and it just made sense right away. Everything is all in one spot and everyone gets notified about issues, RFIs or document updates automatically. It really simplifies everything.

Cons

I'd love to see more features added, especially ones that let us track things in more detail, like daily quantities. Also, the change order process could be improved for situations where it's not tied to a previous proposal.

Easy, affordable, and feature rich

Pros

There's so much I like about It but the best thing is that it's basically ready to use right out of the box. No endless setup or customization needed. I can spin up a new project and get the team trained in like an hour. Usually another half hour and the owner/PM team is good to go with the accounting part. It's just ready when you are.

Cons

I just wish more owners were using this tool! A lot of them think they need to buy some huge, overpriced system to get what they need. But the truth is, those big tools often don't get used because they're too complex. This one actually works for the teams using it.

Big fan construction company of OIS

Pros

The top two things I care about are: 1) how easy it is to use, seriously we trained our PMs in under an hour and 2) the value we get. The features in this tool rival way more expensive systems, so we're getting great functionality without breaking the bank.

Cons

It doesn't sync with the P&L software we use to build Balance Sheets and Income Statements which would be nice. But honestly, it's not a big deal and we were doing that part manually before it anyway.
