Customizable workflow meets expectations

Pros

The feedback system really helps improve the product over time. Their support team is amazing and they're always there to help me with any questions or issues.

Cons

Learning this system can be frustrating since there's no tutorial or guide to help me figure out how the features work.

Simple Project Management Solution

Pros

I fully appreciate how it centralizes everything especially with the Xero integration. Data entry is easy and doesn't feel like a issue.

Cons

If I make a mistake, there's no way to edit it and I have to delete everything and start over. I really wish there was an option to make amendments.

Effective Job Costing

Pros

I love being able to upload budgets and match invoices against them and it keeps me updated on both current and projected job costs without having to sift through spreadsheets.

Cons

I'm not a fan of how they structure pricing around small, medium or large projects, though the option I chose ended up meeting all my needs perfectly.

Kicked my Excel habit for good

Pros

I hardly ever have to open Excel anymore thanks to this software!

Cons

There was a small learning curve with some of the terminology but the customer team was really helpful in clearing that up.

Love the real-time budget visibility

Pros

I love being able to see exactly what we've spent, what we're projected to spend and what we've committed to on any project, every single day.

Cons

The pricing structure is a bit unusual but the mid-tier plan we chose fits our project's needs perfectly.

Quick Setup & User-Friendly Interface

Pros

The interface is very friendly. It was up and running with hardly any effort from me at all. Tracking supplier costs has become so much easier now.

Cons

Since we're new to the Swiss market, we sometimes need to tweak some labels to fit local requirements.

Time saver!

Pros

Moving away from Excel has been a game-changer for me! Manually updating spreadsheets for project cost control used to be so time-consuming and error-prone. This tool has streamlined everything, giving me back valuable time and energy to focus on other things.

Cons

This is a newer platform, getting our entire supply chain comfortable with using it takes some patience and training time.

Good costing tool with excellent support

Pros

I find it really easy to use and it gives me excellent visibility into budget management. The Xero integration is awesome since it keeps all my accounting data synced with project details. Recent updates have made a big difference and placing purchase orders and handling valuations is much smoother now and managing subcontractors is way more efficient. The invoice upload process works smoothly and once I approve documents, they get sent straight to Xero without any extra steps. It really saves time on the admin side. What impresses me the most is how responsive the development team is and they actually listen to user feedback and implement improvements super quickly. The support team is really knowledgeable and always provides helpful solutions when I need them.

Cons

The way it combines cost information, I mean both what's invoiced and what's actually spent and could definitely use some work. But I hear they're planning improvements for this feature.

Logical and user-friendly layout

Pros

My favorite part is how logical and user-friendly the layout is. It's genuinely easy to use and saves me tons of time by handling all the complex calculations. It's so well organized that it keeps everyone on the same page, and you can even tweak it to highlight the info that's most important to you. It's incredibly simple and you can figure it out without a manual and it quickly starts to feel like you've been using it for years.

Cons

Honestly there's really nothing about the software that I don't like. I genuinely enjoy using it.

Straightforward construction project financial management

Pros

The support team is helpful and responsive. I'm actually talking to the developers, not just someone reading from a script. This tool takes away so many headaches from manual data entry and constantly updating spreadsheets. It gives me a clear, visual way to track construction budgets and syncs perfectly with Xero, keeping my bookkeeping aligned with actual spending and budget planning.

Cons

The main downside for me has been some minor functionality hiccups and usability issues that pop up from time to time, but the development team is really responsive to feedback and makes improvements almost immediately.

Top-notch support from the developers

Pros

Support is top-notch because you're talking directly to the developers who built the thing not a call center. The software itself eliminates the huge headache of manual data entry and gives you a crystal-clear, visual overview of your construction budgets. The link with Xero is a game-changer, keeping our books perfectly in sync with our actual spending.

Cons

We've had a few minor gripes about certain features over time but the Planyard team has been amazing at listening to feedback. They've improved the product so quickly it feels almost real-time. As it keeps evolving it just gets better and better suited for our needs and has become absolutely essential to our workflow.

Perfect all-in-one workflow tool, needs better spec sheets

Pros

We searched for a long time for a tool that could handle our entire workflow and this was the perfect solution. We can now create estimates, send out bid requests, compare prices, place orders and track progress... all in one place! It keeps our project finances accurate and completely current.

Cons

We'd love to see a better tool for managing specification sheets and it sounds like they're planning to start developing that soon so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Massive time-saver with great support

Pros

The automation is a massive time-saver that slashes data entry and wipes out those common errors we'd always get with spreadsheets. Having instant access to data makes controlling costs and making decisions incredibly fast. It frees up our senior staff to focus on high-value work instead of getting stuck updating spreadsheets. Plus if a team member leaves, their replacement can pick up right where they left off without any hassle. It's also fantastic for getting client approvals on changes much faster and the team is always rolling out useful new features.

Cons

My only real regret is that I didn't find this software sooner! Some of the terms were a little confusing at first but they've since updated them and now there's a helpful explanation for pretty much every field. The support team is also fantastic and always ready to answer any questions.
