“Good Procure Add On, unavailable for free licenses

Pros

It's easy to use with Procore, cutting out the need for transferring data between different platforms and streamlining work processes.

Cons

Esticom has recently become an integrated Procure tool, but during this transition, Procore users with non-profit or free licenses can't access it. I'm hoping this will change over the next year since this is a key feature Procore is missing, and I currently have to pay for a separate third-party app integration to fill the gap. I appreciate that Procore offers a non-profit program that helps us train new trades employees for adopting digital construction technology, so it's a bit frustrating that this functionality isn't available for free yet!

“Professional and user friendly takeoff software

Pros

I used it for HVAC takeoff estimation and almost everything I needed was in their libraries. Plus, it requires minimal learning, just access the site and you're good to go. No installation is needed; just a web connection. Navigating plans and scaling is simple too. I've got three colleagues who tried it with me, and we're all pleased with how it performs across different trades like plumbing, masonry, and concrete.

The cost is somewhat high, and the reliance on internet access can occasionally be problematic.

Pros

What I enjoyed most about Esticom is how easy it is to measure and download blueprints with legends. It's effective with the mouse and being web-based means I can access it from anywhere.

Cons

What I liked least about Esticom is that it's missing some crucial features and the platform is priced too steeply. It would be great if they added templates, stages, and Excel options!

Here are a few suggestions: 1) It would be helpful to fix a color, legend size, and shape for an assembly so that we don't need to select it every time. 2) An option to select a specific area for takeoff would be fantastic. 3) The ability to download all takeoff drawings to PDF at once would be great.

There are a few quirks that take some getting used to. The two small issues that bother me most are: 1. Not being able to add one-time-use items to the estimating section. 2. Not being able to switch between takeoff modes without deleting the entire item (e.g., switching between linear and linear average with drop).

Navigating the software is exceptionally smooth and intuitive. The design makes it simple to find your way around, and the overall user experience is very natural and seamless.

The breakout portion in the estimation section of the software is problematic. There's no way to break out a specific task or job from the bid to provide numbers to GCs. Also, the markup calculations and profits don't match the percentages set in the profit section.
