Pros

We can easily record any job and progress on-site using mobile devices. It automatically notifies related parties and is completely paperless.

Cons

Its not working well with our overseas projects. One of our overseas team members is having trouble with the automatic report generation.

It includes all the reporting areas we need for quick access to information and our Superintendents can fill out details during the workday without taking much time away from overseeing work quality.

Raken always seeks feedback to improve the program. Our company has submitted several ideas over time and Raken consistently responds, letting us know they like our input.

Everyone can edit or add data to the same document.

Cons

The app is glitchy and unstable. Raken is limited to Internet Explorer, which I do not prefer and it forces me to use it. Much data has been lost due to Rakens inconsistent saving of attachments. Sometimes they save, sometimes they pretend to save and disappear. Raken does not work well without internet or phone signal (like in an underground mine). If one user is logged in, another users interface with Raken slows down significantly. Editing equipment and crews is tedious and needs to be repeated daily for every report.

The customization is limited, especially in the mobile application for signing timesheets or toolbox talks.

Pros

It is easy to deploy, train new users and access information. This tool has helped us in situations where site supervision teams file reports claiming subcontractors are not performing. I have the foreman fill out a report with pictures showing the actual site conditions and send it to the PM. This usually resolves false claims of underperformance.

Cons

I did like to see more toolbox talk sheets relevant to various trades and more enforcement to ensure foremen carry out this task weekly.
