Works for regular teams

Pros

I've been using this for a long time in construction and since a lot of companies we work with know the terms and how it works, everything just flows smoother. It really helps with communication.

Cons

Some of the features can be buggy or feel outdated at times and honestly, some parts aren't very intuitive. One thing I'd really like to see is the expense feature improved. Right now, it mostly handles reimbursements but it would be great if it could also work better for employees who have company cards and don't need reimbursements all the time.

Easy to use

Pros

I like how simple it is. The terms and overall setup are really nice. It's easy to use and super user friendly. I especially love the set rate amount when adding or editing an employee and it makes finding actual costs way easier and I'm really thankful for that.

Cons

I'd say the main issue is the bugs in the system. Also, there are parts of the app that we don't really use or need and it'd be nice if those could be turned off or removed. I get that might not be possible but having the option to disable features we don't use would make it a lot cleaner for us.

Feels simple to use

Pros

Using it is simple from start to finish. I especially like how bidding and awarding subcontracts works within the platform....it's clear and removes a lot of the back-and-forth that usually slows things down. I can manage the entire process in one place which saves time and reduces errors. It's honestly made handling subcontracts one of the easier parts of my workflow.

Cons

I actually prefer the live helpline instead of relying on the online chat feature.

helpful customer support team

Pros

I'm really impressed with their customer support. They are always helpful and I love how simple the messenger is to use!

Cons

It isn't always the best fit for smaller projects. Recently the platform started requiring a sub to approve any changes beyond a certain point and honestly that tweak has been really inconvenient for how we use it.

Smooth integrations

Pros

Integration wasn't hard for me at all as it all came together smoothly. I really appreciate how quickly I can draft contracts and change orders, set up owner billing and handle bid requests. RTG makes these tasks fast and simple which has taken so much pressure off my daily workflow.

Cons

I've noticed the spell-check either doesn't function or frequently lags during use.

appreciate the accounting tools

Pros

What I rely on and appreciate most are the accounting tools, every bit of data is right at my fingertips and my project managers can check the status of owner and subcontractor payments themselves instead of needing to interrupt me to ask.

Cons

I'd like to see some improvements to the filter options in the accounting area as they're a bit limited and could be more flexible for our reporting needs.

Effective document management

Pros

I'm really impressed by the bidding tools, the way documents are organized and the built-in live chat.

Cons

There has been a bit of a learning curve to remember all the different steps involved when I create change orders.

Useful bidding feature

Pros

What I find myself using the most are the bidding workflows and the contract tools for both subcontractors and property owners.

Cons

Overall it's been good so far. The only area I'd say could use some work is the in-app chat functionality.

Project hyperlink needs work

Pros

Using this platform I can blast out Invitations to Bid en masse and keep a clear record of all invitation responses which makes follow-up much easier.

Cons

The project hyperlink is unreliable and needs work. Subcontractors can register multiple company profiles and duplicate contact records which makes managing vendors chaotic. Also I don't receive subcontractor sub-quotes, they aren't routed to the contractor so I have to open each project individually to hunt them down.

Difficult for superintendents

Pros

They provide top-notch customer service and the job pricing worksheet works really well!

Cons

Sadly I've had several design and development problems that make the app difficult for superintendents to access and use and subcontractors face even greater usability challenges. The overall ease of use for subcontractors is quite poor.

Easy to handle

Pros

An all-in-one construction solution software

Pros

It is an all-in-one solution for all my software needs. I love using it to simultaneously build many projects in various places, ranging from single-family homes to multi-family homes, accounting and so much more. Also it has offered invaluable instructional resources and has tools for both newbies and seasoned construction workers.

Cons

I think there are some very frustrating drawbacks to redteams. At the top are passwords, which do not allow you to use special characters. The mobile app should be given some more thought because it lacks many essential features.

Buyer beware alert

Pros

I really love the features this software promised when I first started using it. It's been great because everything they said it would do, it actually does.

Cons

It really didn't live up to my expectations. I used it for six months and wasn't happy with how it performed. On top of that when I asked for a refund for the $6500 I spent, they wouldn't give me anything back which was pretty disappointing.

Top-notch customer service

Pros

The customer service is amazing. The specialists are well-informed and will help you getting up and running quickly. Even if we asked the software about something that was not built in, they were able to handle it efficiently.

Cons

I think completely shifting to any solid comprehensive software package, such as this one, takes time. And If you're in a hurry, the changeover might be difficult.

One of the best in the game!

Pros

The system gave access to learning tools for newcomers like us in the construction industry, as well as provided excellent tools for experienced professionals. It can also be used with other applications. I recommend it.

Great help for project management

Pros

RedTeam is a system that tracks everything from the beginning to the end of the project, which is a huge plus for us.

Cons

I think there are some functions in RedTeam, particularly those involving passwords, that feel pretty basic and don't facilitate much. The password setup process could benefit from added security features, such as multi-factor authentication or more simple access management tools to ensure easier yet secure access for our team. Enhanced password options would make it more efficient and give a stronger sense of security for handling project data and sensitive information. Overall, a solid login system would make RedTeam's project management better.

Great tool

Pros

Our office manager is relieved that she won't have to learn a new system because of the QuickBooks integration. We highly recommend this system.

Cons

Without explicit onboarding from the support team, I think implementing software across the firm can be difficult and complicated.
