Designers love using it

Pros

The option to create detailed and creative 3D models is what I really like about it.

Cons

The learning curve is pretty steep and sometimes technical glitches cause the software to crash which annoys me a lot, mainly when I am working on something important.

Happy with my choice

Pros

It is basically the only way I know to create scenery for flight simulators.

Cons

I noticed that most of the models for sale are on the pricey side.

Easy to learn and use

Pros

Not only is it fast but also I find it easy to learn and use. There is a huge library of assets in the 3D warehouse plus plenty of extensions among them some free that speed up making models.

Cons

Well I wish some of the paid third-party extensions especially for architecture and construction like Medeek's and Condoc's were included right in the program. Also it'd be great if they offered an architecture focused version with those built in so I would not have to juggle multiple subscriptions and renewal dates.

Turning ideas into virtual reality

Pros

It easy to use and beginner-friendly which I like the most about it.

Cons

The cost feels too high to me mainly for smaller firms and individual users.

Perfect for anyone starting 3D modeling

Pros

SketchUp is one of the simpler 3D modeling tools I have come across in the market which makes it accessible for both newbies and experienced modelers.

Cons

There are so many SketchUp plugins but it'd be helpful for us the users if there were more tutorial videos explaining how to use each one.

plays a solid role in design

Pros

I like how quickly I can develop building concepts for exteriors focusing on shape and materials.

Cons

Though I can do full building designs but it is a pretty time-consuming and tedious process.

Ideal for speedy renderings in presentations

Pros

It is quick to create scaled mock-ups, easy to add color and the extensions help make realistic renderings. I have been experimenting with the new AI rendering feature and it's also working great.

Cons

Since everything is on separate planes and does not work as a complete form like other programs, editing drawings can be tough if I don't get it exactly right the first time.

User-friendly tool

Pros

SketchUp software is user friendly, efficient and packed with tools. After using it for over five years I am pretty skilled and can easily create interior design layouts quickly.

Cons

It at times freezes on my Mac. I am not sure how it runs on Windows but it can be really frustrating when it locks up though I guess that depends on your computer specs.

Can't imagine working without it

Pros

It is highly user-friendly and simple to use yet it allows me to achieve totally professional results with it.

Cons

I feel like the price could definitely be more competitive compared to other similar software.

Easy but not so easy

Pros

One thing I like most about it is that I can easily draw on my iPad using it.

Cons

It was not the easiest to use as sometimes it would draw lines where I did not want them. Also some tools are hidden and take quite some time to find.

Makes 3D modeling easy

Pros

What I like most is how easy SketchUp is to learn. It is the only 3D software besides AutoCAD that runs smoothly even on an Intel Core laptop. Thanks to this software I can create 3D perspectives without needing a high-end machine.

Cons

Honestly what I like least about it is that it's a little too expensive.
