“offers broad set of features
Pros
What stands out most to me are the takeoff tools, they're fantastic and there's a wide range of features I really like that make our work more efficient. The responsiveness, ease of access and so far impressive ability to manage very large plans are all excellent.
Cons
I'm still waiting for improvements to the cost proposal side. If those were more customizable it would push this program to the next level and make it much easier for us to bring our partners onto the platform. Specifically, I'd like options to tweak the tax layout, relabel or reorganize costs that aren't measured, save items with attached costs under non-measured categories and have the tax rate automatically show on customer-facing quotes instead of me entering it every time. Also, a simpler, more user-friendly way to present and switch between currencies would be hugely appreciated.

“Customizable databases
Pros
I really like that I can upload large projects and the software automatically sorts the pages and assigns names, the takeoff controls are user-friendly and offer a lot of flexibility. I also appreciate the assembly tools and the ability to customize databases.
Cons
When I'm without an internet connectio, there isn't an offline backup available.

“Simplified my workflow
Pros
Using STACK basically removed one step from my takeoff and bidding workflow. Having a takeoff tool that includes a tightly integrated "spreadsheet" has significantly cut down the time I spend preparing bids. The team appears to genuinely listen to customer input and regularly ships new capabilities. Within my first week I was able to create a fully custom library of items and assemblies and since then I've been really pleased with how smoothly the takeoff part of the process works.
Cons
There's definitely room to improve. Once I create items or assemblies I can't relocate them to a different spot. Right now I'm forced to use the "linear with drop" takeoff as a workaround to tally corners and miters for linear-foot measurements, even though that wasn't what it was designed for. I end up having to type in a "drop length" every single time which doesn't apply to these counts. It would be fantastic to have a "linear with point count" takeoff option.

“Laid out clearly
Pros
I really like it because it's so easy to use. Everything is laid out clearly and is very user-friendly.
Cons
I wish it included an UNDO feature or some kind of document repository. Occasionally I delete things by mistake and then I can't restore them.

“Unbelievable accuracy
Pros
Takeoff feature is the standout tool because it delivers measurements that are accurate around 99% of the time.
Cons
We found the pricing setup very confusing for our needs so we ended up simplifying it to make it usable for our team.

“Convenient takeoff tool
Pros
We find the takeoff feature very easy to use and because of that we rely on it exclusively for measuring and preparing takeoffs for our jobs.
Cons
I've had trouble using it on my phone because the interface isn't very mobile-friendly and I really wish there were a dedicated app so I could check takeoff quantities or remove items while I'm out on a jobsite. On top of that, the estimating tools feel clunky to me. I don't find them user-friendly and it's likely I'm still learning how they work.

“Easy to generate worksheets
Pros
What I love is how easily I can produce worksheets populated with takeoff quantities and then turn those worksheet amounts into professional proposals without issues.
Cons
When I overlay an updated plan on top of one that already has a takeoff, the two don't line up cleanly and it's hard for me to spot what's changed.

“Not hard to get in touch with support
Pros
I really appreciate how easy it is to reach customer support and I find Stack generally useful. One standout is the quantity takeoff tool which I like a lot, although it still needs refinement. In particular, dealing with repetitive clicking for standard rooms is annoying. It would be great to have a simple 'cut and paste' capability to speed that up.
Cons
Personally, I find the software a little buggy at times. I'd love for the user interface to be smoother and more user-friendly, something on par with Planswift so my workflow isn't interrupted by glitches or confusing UI behavior.

“Can import PDF into AutoCAD
Pros
What I appreciate is being able to download a PDF and import it into AutoCAD, where it automatically assigns layers for me.
Cons
Overlapping two drawings feels pointless to me, the result becomes hard to read and cluttered. If the app offered AutoCAD-style layer management and improved visual clarity, it would make the overlay feature genuinely useful.

“Prebuilt material databases
Pros
The best part has been being able to pull up my project plans whenever I need them and from any device I happen to be using. Having that information right at my fingertips really helps me keep my evaluation and estimation work moving efficiently. I also find the collection of pre-built and customizable material databases to be especially useful and impressive.
Cons
What I find most frustrating is how unclear the user interface can be at times. It occasionally feels complicated so I end up struggling to locate specific features or to reach the tools I need. Because I prioritize speed and ease of use, this ambiguity becomes annoying and can really bog down my workflow and slow the pace of my tasks.

“packed with features
Pros
I've discovered that this construction software includes a really extensive set of tools for handling construction projects, from project management and cost estimating to scheduling, team collaboration and a lot more. Because it consolidates every bit of project information into one central place, I find it much easier to coordinate work and keep different stakeholders aligned which makes managing complex projects feel more simple and less fragmented.
Cons
One drawback is the initial learning curve required to get comfortable with all its features and it can take new users a while to figure out how to use the platform efficiently. On top of that, I felt the price might be somewhat high for smaller firms or independent contractors which could make it harder for those with tighter budgets to adopt it.

“Useful features
Pros
I appreciated a lot of features in Stack yet the aspect I valued above all others was how incredibly easy it was to use.
Cons
For me, the downsides were limited but the biggest frustration came from having to troubleshoot issues with little support or timely help from the admin team.

“Ability to handle various mathematical expressions
Pros
It stands out for a number of reasons. It copes well with a wide range of mathematical notation and can generate randomized problems and solutions which keeps assessments fresh. I also appreciate that students get instant feedback, it's vital for them to spot mistakes and deepen their understanding of topics. On top of that, being open-source and working smoothly with major learning management systems makes it a handy choice when I'm building quizzes and exams.
Cons
I've noticed some downsides. Setting it up and adjusting it can be fairly complex and I sometimes run into browser or operating system compatibility hiccups. That said, the STACK team tends to take user feedback seriously and usually issues fixes and support to resolve reported problems so those rough edges often get smoothed out over time.
