“A flexible and customizable tool for creating interactive and visually appealing catalogs
Pros
What stands out the most about FlippingBook Publisher is its wide range of design and layout options, allowing me to create professional and visually appealing digital catalogs. I can fully personalize the appearance and functionality of the catalogs, such as adjusting colors, fonts, background images, animations and links, which helps me align the catalogs with my brand and specific requirements.
Cons
One of the drawbacks of Flippingbook Publisher is that it relies on an internet connection since it is a cloud based tool. This means you need an active internet connection to access and use its features, which can be inconvenient for those who need to work offline or in areas with limited connectivity.

“Works great!
Pros
It operates smoothly and without any interruptions every time.
Cons
We publish six times a year, so that makes it a bit pricey. The scuba diving industry has been significantly impacted by COVID and recent stormy weather, leading to a substantial decline in revenue.

“Great choice for technical magazines
Pros
The process is seamless. You can import a PDF of a printed magazine into FlippingBook, which then converts the file into HTML5 format. The system allows me to export and upload it to my website for integration with my subscribers. I can also retain the table of contents from past editions and apply it to the current one, only needing to update content titles for the new issue.
Cons
My website has restrictions on who can access the magazine through a password system or active user. So I need to disable the print and save options in the FlippingBook software. While I don't want my users to be able to print or save the entire edition, it would be helpful to have the option to print a single page. Additionally, it was difficult to figure out the page numbering when starting with a few unnumbered pages, though the offset feature does handle this, but it was tricky to figure out initially.

“Makes creating online brochures and magazines so effortless
Pros
FlippingBook is incredibly user friendly. I can easily import PDF files and utilize pre-set templates for each publication I work on. One feature I really appreciate is its automatic URL recognition within a document, which links them without extra effort. It's also a breeze to add other links and videos.
Cons
As a designer, I mostly use a Mac but this software is only available on PC, so I have to transfer my files to a PC laptop to use Flippingbook. It would be fantastic if there were a Mac version. I've also had issues with uploading PDF files, where some pages appear with strange boxes or formatting issues, which requires troubleshooting. The price is also on the higher side.

“Excellent tool for content creation
Pros
The platform is easy to use, with tools that enhance the overall experience. However, creating more interactive content does require some advanced techniques.
Cons
It would be great if the software included a quick text-to-GIF feature. While you can import GIFs that animate on pages, you have to create them in Adobe software. It would be much easier and more attractive for less advanced users if there was an option to quickly generate animated GIFs from text within the software itself.

“Very helpful product with excellent support team
Pros
FlippingBook does an excellent job of presenting our wholesale catalog and is simple to use. I've been using it for several years and it's perfect for our needs. Although I'm on an older version, there have been no issues with updates or new releases. On the rare occasions I've reached out to Support, they've responded quickly with clear and friendly assistance.
Cons
I really do wish FlippingBook ran on Mac OS, that would be a fantastic improvement.
