Helpful and valuable tool

Pros

Although Civiplus was not the right fit for us due to the complexity of our existing systems, the representative we spoke with took the time to really understand our situation. They provided honest and valuable advice. If it were not for the issues with our current systems we would have definitely considered them for our business. So I would recommend them as a trustworthy provider with great insight.

Ideal for small and mid sized companies

Pros

It is easy to use and very user friendly. Plus I like that it has all the features that any small to medium-sized non-profit organization would need in a database platform.

Cons

New releases and bug fixes can sometimes take a while to arrive which annoys me.

One thing I like a lot is that they have a really helpful team thats always willing to assist and provide support.

Cons

If I had to mention something it would be that occasionally the team seems a bit overstretched and it can take time for them to get back to you.

It is a complex tool that allows us to customize the system to fit our companys needs and make the most of its functionality.

Cons

Let me tell you that it takes a little time to get used to the system and fully unlock all its benefits but once you are trained, the possibilities are endless.

One year in and still facing issues

Pros

We were using the original Civi database system for managing our memberships, donations and events. We expected Civi Plus to offer the same functionality with the added improvements it advertised. We were hoping for better communication with our members, accurate data gathering and enhanced payment and subscription management, along with better overall database management. And thankfully it meets the expectations pretty well.

Cons

During implementation we found that many features were still being developed. Also there were new limits on things like email capacity and a lot of the system was not ready when we started. And we are still dealing with issues like payment systems for members through Compuco which does not provide audit-compliant accounting info.

Exactly what we needed

Pros

Since we did not have a CRM before our needs were fairly simple. However we still needed to accommodate the unique aspects of our business like task management, issuing licenses and handling all related financials, alongside charity events and fundraising promotions. It covers all of these functions at a high level and it also provides the flexibility to expand into things like geographic tagging, volunteer management and more as our needs grow.

Cons

We have not experienced any major issues so far. And since this is a new system we have been able to adjust our processes to fit it with minimal changes. There may be a few tweaks we did not expect but we are confident they will be little.
