Small Business, 11-50 employees
“modern networking with flexibility”
Pros
Digital business cards being available whenever I need them has been a real advantage! I now keep several cards in HiHello for the different kinds of work and roles I manage which is much better than trying to force everything onto one card. It also saves me the time, cost and hassle of printing physical business cards, only to have them become outdated a few months later. I already have a whole pile of old paper cards that are no longer useful. A digital card just feels much more current. It lets me share the right contact details depending on who I'm speaking with, whether that's an entrepreneurial lead, a corporate CEO someone interested in my jewelry business or even a potential date. One card doesn't fit every situation and that's exactly why HiHello has been so helpful for me.
Cons
One thing I'm unsure about is whether the software has any kind of reminder feature to help users follow up with contacts because digital business cards can probably get buried in everyday digital clutter. That's honestly one of the few downsides that comes to mind. It could also be nice to see more design choices in the future, even if they're not essential right now. The app is easy and doesn't take much effort to learn so there really aren't many major drawbacks. Even so some of the design options do feel a little dated and a feature that helps convert contacts would be useful too. I also think the name is a bit cheesy. I once met someone at a bar who said "Oh yeah, I have that but I don't use it" and that made me wonder if the app is missing something that keeps it top of mind for people. A recent moment really highlighted that for me: during a meeting someone asked if I had a business card for a part of my work that I don't usually bring up, even though I have plenty of experience in it. I stepped out to my car and created a digital card, then came back and realized I had completely forgotten I already had my business cards on my phone after switching to digital. I ended up tapping their phone and sharing the QR code and it struck me how useful the feature is while still being easy to forget about. That's why I think little reminders, push notifications or even SMS prompts saying something like "hey, don't forget this new contact" would make a difference. I also use two phone numbers, one business and one personal. I noticed there's an "SMS only" option but it would be better if there were a toggle so I could set my personal number to texts only while allowing calls or texts on my business number. Those are really my main thoughts. I don't have complaints about the card itself. The survey form though, was genuinely bad and not designed well for mobile which feels pretty ironic.
