“Time to replace Excel with OBAT

Pros

Since Obat is from near my hometown, I naturally prefer to support local. The 2-week trial period is awesome and I love that the chat support is quick and efficient whenever I need help.

Cons

I wouldn't say it's the least appreciated because it saves me a ton of time but there are definitely some things that could be improved. For instance, the invoice with multiple quote lines (sometimes it's 3 pages long) becomes problem for our private customers. The negative line on the situation (like �in progress...�) is also annoying and I wish I could enter lines on the optional quotes in a way that doesn't mess with the total amount excluding tax. It'd be nice if I could add quantities (like 2+5+6+Entry) and have it automatically calculate. Also, I'd love the option to hide the marketplace because it clutters my homepage.

“Fun and efficient program

Pros

At first, I really appreciated the remote support that helped me get the basics down while I was setting up my business. On top of that, I got a discount for new businesses, two free months and a 2 week free trial. Whenever I face an issue with a transaction, I can reach a technician right away and they solve it fast. They're constantly improving the program too. It's super easy to use and I can manage everything from my computer, tablet or even my phone while I'm at the construction site. I can send my monthly results to my accountant in different file formats with just a few clicks and I can generate the reduced VAT certificate and send it to clients along with the quote.

Cons

Honestly, I think it's a bit of a letdown that I have to pay a flat rate for each Batichiffrage family group. It would be so much better if one single membership gave access to the entire library.

“Perfect for all users, whether beginner or expert

Pros

I've been using this since 2022, almost from the start. What I like the most is how much the program has evolved and how they've added so many great services.

Cons

The app crashes a lot, so I stopped using it. I found that the quotes often ended up being two pages long which just wasn't practical for me.

“Pretty good but there's room for improvement

I use it for outsourcing and finalizing document presentations.

Cons

There are some little things that bother me. For example, tables where I can't see all the columns, the messiness in the display of documents and a negative margin that pops up when entering articles. I also wish there was a reference column when entering items, so I could easily modify a line. Some of these are small issues but they do add up.

“Amazing solution!

Pros

There's no one standout feature but it runs smoothly overall. It's great for managing statistics, has a solid price library and lets me check external prices. The quote and invoice management is perfect.

Cons

I can't think of any major drawbacks honestly. In fact, quite the opposite. It's really well done overall. There are always a few things that could be improved but it works pretty well for the most part.

“My experience with Obat

Pros

It's not bad and honestly for the price, it's exactly what I expected. I wasn't expecting anything super fancy.

Cons

A couple of things could be better: there's no detailed balance sheet for VAT at different rates (5.5, 10, and 20) along with the corresponding turnover. Also you can't directly record new projects and if you duplicate a quote, the name of the new project just overwrites the old one. I've been copying and pasting, but the font and size don't match when I paste. Lastly, it'd be great if changes to a quote (like a title or price change) automatically updated in the library.

Pros

I really like how simple and ergonomic it is to use. The interface is clean and interactive, so I never feel overwhelmed when going through the features.

Cons

One minor issue, though it might just be my mobile network, is that sometimes it's hard to use Obat when the connection is weak. The page just keeps loading endlessly. I think an offline mode would be amazing but I'm guessing it might not be feasible.

“How efficient and user friendly the software is

Pros

For me, it's all about being user-friendly, efficient and responsive. It's super easy to use even if I'm new to the program.

Cons

Honestly, there's nothing about this product that has caused me any inconvenience. It's been smooth sailing for me.

The professionalism of the software, the electronic signature feature and the integration with Batichiffrage at the start really impressed me.

Cons

I've been using Obat for a while now and the recent 50% price hike really threw me off. That's probably the thing I've liked least about it so far.
