“Everything works fine

Pros

The native refactoring is smooth and the maintenance is pretty easy and user friendly. Costs are also low and predictable which is a big plus. Plus I like that the platform keeps evolving and improving so I am excited to see what's next.

Cons

Well I feel like the iOS and Android versions still need improvement although they are functional. But I feel like this will be addressed with the WebAssembly coming in 2024.

“Consistent, fast and reliable

Pros

Velneo's reliability is quite impressive as you will never see a blue error screen. Even if something is incorrectly programmed, the system will simply ignore the mistake without crashing. Besides that, it is quick to develop and maintain and with just one developer, we can keep multiple applications fast, stable and scalable with ease.

Cons

There are still many features I have not had the chance to fully use yet. Though it is not a software fault.

“Packed with great features

Pros

I will keep it short, to me its user friendliness and minimal learning curve are the standout features.

Cons

The main drawbacks I have found are the heavy reliance on JavaScript when needed, the lack of resources for QML, issues with mobile web browsers being overly complicated and the poor documentation.

Pros

The integrated database within the environment is something I like the most and having everything accessible during the design process makes things so much easier.

Cons

When problems arise, it is way too difficult to debug a production installation as we have to block access for everyone to resolve issues.

“Best software to build a reliable, fast management app

Pros

It is pretty easy to implement and maintain and the technical support is excellent. I love that it is fully available in Spanish. The low code feature is great but it also lets you customize with JavaScript. Plus, two updates a year with clear direction and integration with any API is smooth and practical too.

Cons

In my opinion there are no real downsides to using it for building a complete management system. Unfortunately, the only major hurdle in my country is the cost although they do offer significant discounts for Latin America.

“Complete development system

Pros

Being able to use a single platform for the database, interface development, coding, deployment, and maintenance is proven highly beneficial for us. Overall I highly recommend this tool!

Cons

Not much to complaint about as Velneo is working on this and once it is ready, we will start using it. Since the client will be able to run it in a web environment, we wont have to worry about installing or updating desktop applications on client PCs

“Powerful and flexible tool

Pros

It handles millions of records easily and can consume web services from other providers which saves us time. The programming is also simple and flexible. On top of that, it supports JavaScript and QML. Integration is smooth too and the customizable templates make the process even easier.

Cons

There have been occasions where something specific could not be done directly with it but its versatility allows us to work around it, though it does have some external integrations that make things a bit more complicated

“It is the heart of our business

Pros

I love how easy it is to program with this. The learning curve is also not very steep so I was up and running in no time. Plus, it processes data pretty fast making everything so much more efficient.

Cons

As per me better web connections and more affordable user licenses would definitely be a big improvement.

It is a powerful tool for developing business applications and I like that it simplifies the process allowing you to create and maintain applications quickly and comfortably.

When a programmer switches to the software they really need to adjust their mindset. It works great but you have to think like a Velneo programmer. And if you try applying frameworks from other platforms, you will face challenges. And yes its database is powerful but it did take some of my time to learn.

“Helps me prioritize customer needs

What I like most is how dependable the tool is. It is perfect for beginners, they dont need to be very tech savvy to use it. And once you get the hang of it, everything becomes simple to understand and the speed and flexibility it offers make a huge difference in my workflow. Overall it definitely made my job easier.

Cons

I miss having elements to create more user friendly and visually appealing interfaces. I also feel like more "live" coding features would be helpful. plus it would be great to see tools for bulk code replacement, the ability to automatically update internal references and links and grids with embedded objects among others.

“Our core system

Pros

The best part for me is the fast and reliable database.Other than that, the updates and triggers really make things easier. The development environment has everything we need and the execution client is well optimized for both speed and security.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about it, everything works as it should and it integrates smoothly with other tools we may need.

“Good tool but could be better

It is easy to use program, with objects that adapt to business activities and it is very user friendly too. Also the learning curve is close to none and there is plenty of training available with source code provided. And overall the platform runs smoothly and quickly. Velneo's team is always ready to help.

Cons

I feel like improvements could be made in code debugging, grids and the interface. Ive noticed the graphics could be better if we added more variety and improved the ones we already have
