“Handy on mobile but pricey”

Pros

Mobile responsiveness is definitely a plus and being able to handle a lot of tasks right from my phone makes it very convenient to use on the go.

Cons

It feels very technical to work with, Aurora takes a long time to be delivered and the cost is higher than I expected.

“powerful metrics dashboard”

Pros

Right away the metrics dashboard stood out and has been incredibly useful for pulling meaningful insights. It's been put together really well.

Cons

The downside is the ROI feels pretty low because the platform is expensive and there were no updates to the communities side for a couple of years after several acquisitions shifted the focus toward social media support. It's definitely a powerful and flexible platform but there's a trade-off, you either need an internal development team to handle it or have to rely on their technical consultants which adds even more cost.

“Feature-rich platform”

Pros

Platform covers a lot of ground and comes packed with features. It supports all the core discussion formats we need, from ideation and knowledge bases to general discussions and more. Over the years we've used it, downtime has been virtually nonexistent which has been a big plus. The customer success team is also excellent and really helps you get as much value from the product as possible.

Cons

If I had to point out something, it would be the slight shift in focus toward Publisher over the past year or so. It does make me wonder whether community innovation has taken a bit of a back seat. It's also certainly not the most affordable option on the market but after doing a lot of research, we still feel it's the strongest platform available.

“Strong customization”

Pros

Flexibility here is a huge plus. There are tons of tools, features and functions available so it's possible to customize the community to fit very specific industry needs. It's also user-friendly right away, both for members and admins, while still offering more advanced technical options and training when needed. Another standout is the SEO setup, the whole community is designed with optimization in mind, including tags, labels, custom search options, titles, text and canonical URLs.

Cons

Overall I'm very happy with it. Like any platform though there's always some room for improvement depending on a company's specific needs. The internal search works well but it could still be better and it sounds like improvements are already in progress so I'm interested to see those updates. The survey tool is also strong but I'd really like the option for agents or community managers to reply directly to customer survey responses. That may be more specific to our industry since many of our customers end up using surveys as a place to submit complaints.

“Handy social media dashboard”

Pros

Getting started with it was pretty easy and it's been a really great social media management tool. It makes it convenient to keep an eye on multiple social media platforms all at once.

Cons

It has been a very reliable platform and I honestly don't have any complaints. It's user-friendly enough for both beginners and intermediate users.

“All good”

Pros

It gives us a way to have one-on-one conversations with our active customer base, while also letting them interact with each other.

Cons

There's nothing specific I dislike about this software. If I had to pick a least favorite part, it would be software integrations in general.

“Fantastic community support hub”

Pros

Around-the-clock responsiveness is the biggest strength here since the server is available 24/7. I also really enjoy the direct connection through social channels because it lets me see my entire network at a glance. The integration between the forums and the knowledge base is excellent as well. A strong forum post can quickly be turned into a KB article that keeps helping the community over time. On top of that there are plenty of valuable features like marking an answer as the solution, awarding prestige and using badges. Overall, it does a very good job of helping you use your community to bring together additional support resources and guidance for other users.

Cons

Since we use a customized version of it, our experience may not match everyone else's but we have run into several inconsistencies and difficulties. One example is when two users share the same email address, it becomes complicated to update or remove one of them. Issues like that can be frustrating.

“flexible communities in one platform”

Pros

There's a lot of flexibility with it, forums, blogs, knowledge base and more so we can build different types of communities using the same tool.

Cons

One downside is that the URLs aren't very user-friendly which doesn't seem ideal for SEO. If the platform had cleaner, more friendly URLs, I think it could help increase visits.

“strong features”

Pros

Right from the start the interface feels well designed and the features they offer are really good. Whenever we need help from a support representative the response is quick and the team is friendly and knowledgeable enough to clear up our doubts.

Cons

I haven't come across any real issues with the product. The only thing worth keeping in mind is that when acting on the suggestions it provides, we still need to think carefully about what we actually need and what our specific problem is. At times the recommended solution can feel a bit abstract so it's important to focus on the real issue before making a decision.

“valuable social outreach features”

Pros

This is a really valuable tool for connecting and interacting socially across different platforms and with potential users.

Cons

It would be even better with more refined search options and higher limits for texts and images although it already offers a wide range of functionalities.
