Even though you really need a paid plan to get the most out of these SEO tools, I've learned how to make the free version work for tracking ranking keywords and the insights I pull from it have made a noticeable difference in my posts' performance, traffic and keyword rankings over time.

Frustrating part is that until you get the hang of configuring the different filters for the keyword segments you want to analyze the limit of only 50 results in a category feels restrictive, especially after two great years of use, when my ranking keywords have grown from just under 500 to more than triple that. Still there are ways to work around it.

That visual layout is especially useful since it makes complicated information much easier to follow without having to spend time digging through lots of detailed reading. Setup is also very easy because it only asks a few questions at the beginning and once you enter that information the dashboard handles the rest.
