“Reliable remote support platform”

Pros

Having a simple platform for remotely connecting to our computers has been really helpful for managing devices and assisting users when they need support.

Cons

The setup side is a little complex and very granular. It's also not very simple to disable the features that reduce graphics and video quality to save bandwidth especially since bandwidth isn't an issue for us.

“Stable and convenient remote management”

Pros

Using it feels very convenient and simple and the software has been consistently stable for me.

Cons

Something that could be improved is the limited documentation available for support and guidance.

“Useful for monitoring learners' screens”

Pros

During remote training sessions, this product has been incredibly useful for monitoring learners' screens. It lets us watch them work through practice exercises live, spot mistakes as they happen and step in right away with guidance and support.

Cons

At times, the PCs drop their connection to SoftLink so we have to spend time reconnecting before we're able to help the learners again.

“Works well across multiple platforms”

Pros

It works across multiple platforms, the interface is simple to use and file transfer is really convenient.

Cons

Getting everything set up and configured at the beginning can take a while and may require a bit of technical know-how.

“Quick setup and flexible access”

Pros

Setting it up was easy and using it day to day has been just as simple. Being able to limit users through domain groups or separate accounts also makes managing access very convenient.

Cons

A few controls have been relocated in recent updates which can be a bit frustrating at times.

“User-friendly navigation, helpful support”

Pros

Moving around the different applications is simple and clear. The help guides are also really detailed so if we ever get stuck there's plenty of useful information to rely on.

Cons

Deployment was a bit tricky at first because the ports and IPs had to be configured correctly. That said, after a couple of calls with the very friendly and attentive support team, the issue was sorted out quickly.

“Handy file transfer feature”

Pros

We find it user-friendly and the file transfer feature has been especially useful for our day-to-day work.

Cons

Ever since the pandemic pushed us into a hybrid setup, about half of our devices no longer have static IP addresses. NetSupport appears to struggle with resolving a device's DNS so it won't connect when we try to use the device name.

“Lets us organize classrooms”

Pros

One of the biggest advantages for us is how it lets us organize classrooms into a group of users instead of relying only on machine names. That was a big reason we picked it since being able to view classrooms by each user's login name makes day-to-day support much more practical. It helps us identify the right machine much faster and connect to it without wasting time which has made our support process a lot more efficient.

Cons

The only thing I'd really improve is the need to manually update the user list. At the same time, we do understand why those additions have to be made in user mode so it's not a major issue.

“Hassle-free access to users' PCs”

Pros

It is very easy to use. It gives reliable, hassle-free access to users' PCs and also handles software deployment really well.

Cons

Every once in a while, it has trouble connecting to a PC but that's been a very rare issue and honestly something we've seen with every remote access tool at one point or another.

“Budget-friendly tool”

Pros

It's dependable and does what I need it to do. On top of that, the pricing is affordable.

Cons

Peer-to-peer connections can be limiting. It's also not the ideal option when the device is located outside your network.

“Solid remote support tool”

Pros

Running it in a company setting has been really effective. It's a solid remote support tool and one of the best parts is being able to push installations quietly in the background so employees don't even notice they're receiving a software update. It also helps a lot with users who regularly forget their passwords or aren't very comfortable with technology since you can jump in quickly and take full control when needed.

Cons

reaching systems outside the company's internal network can be tricky. It doesn't work as flexibly across external networks the way TeamViewer, AnyDesk and similar tools do.
