the system is really easy to use and clearly shows exactly where every leave request stands. The platform itself feels excellent and feasible to navigate and getting everything set up was surprisingly quick and easy too.
Cons
I've run into occasional payment hiccups that required me to chase up for resolutions. While I don't blame the product itself, I sometimes wish the team had taken a more proactive approach in handling these follow-ups.

The leaves administration team is knowledgeable and responds quickly and I find payroll coordination accurate and the HR/employee dashboard convenient.
Cons
Not really a con but I would point out that I'd like to see continued expansion of reporting and customization options over time and I appreciate that it is actively working on that.

Using it has made payroll management much easier and I appreciate the time it saves on documenting requests, ensuring compliance and handling follow-ups.
Cons
there are very few negatives. The only real drawback I have noticed is the added cost but in practice it more than earns that back by recovering state leave funds we used to leave untapped because of bureaucratic red tape and procedural hurdles.

The rollout was feasible and I find the team's LOA and compliance expertise invaluable, especially for filing state benefits on employees' behalf.
Cons
don't have any major complaints but I wish this tool took a slightly more active role with employee benefits while people are on leave, for example, guiding employees through making benefit changes and initiating the premium acknowledgement agreements for them. Those small touches would make the experience feel more complete.

When our staff went on leave, I found it easy to set up and flexible, making complex state leave programs manageable.
Cons
It was pricey on a per-leave basis and every so often we had to nudge them to follow up. This only happened once but we had hoped that after notifying them about a leave they would handle it from there, instead we ended up checking in to make sure things were moving forward.

Monthly status check-ins are valuable and I'm impressed by the Customer Experience Manager's knowledge, responsiveness and practical guidance.
Cons
One area I'd like to see improved is the dashboard functionality. Right now I find there's limited visibility or access to certain uploaded documents. It would also help if a Spanish-speaking representative were available which would improve communication and support for employees who struggle with English. Also, the 'report' section could use some upgrades.

Several of my team members have raised concerns about the clarity of communication and the level of support they received from the team and a number of them have also asked for quicker response times. Cons
biggest shortfall was the absence of a complete Rippling integration. Because our organization leans heavily on Rippling for HRIS and payroll, not having a direct, simple link forced me to perform extra manual steps, duplicate data entry and accept a higher risk of mistakes.

“Slow response, complex payroll, high price

Honestly, what I value most about this software is that they shoulder the bulk of the compliance work and subject-matter expertise for the various state and provincial leave laws. It means I don't need to spend hours deciphering each jurisdiction's nuances because it has already done that legwork. They also take on most of the heavy lifting when it comes to filing state/government and disability claims which saves a ton of time and lowers the chance of mistakes. Their platform is a real win too, the dashboard is clean, easy to use and the reporting is great. I'm also glad they rolled out manager and HRBP dashboards along with automated email reminders, since those features keep employees, managers and HR on the same page without me chasing everyone down. On top of everything, our current group of CSMs and Leave Specialists has been fantastic, compared to our initial team (which, to be frank, was a bit rough at times), this new crew is responsive, knowledgeable and genuinely enjoyable to work with.
Cons
biggest area I'd like to see improve is responsiveness. Their usual turnaround is around two days which is understandable given how complex leave cases can be but that pace feels slow when we're dealing with urgent, time-sensitive matters. Payroll processing remains a recurring point as well, it can come across as clunky and delayed and payroll reconciliations are often one of the more frustrating parts of the experience. Part of that is because we're on a PEO which layers in extra complexity that it has to navigate with us. Another limitation shows up with complex, one-off leave situations, those tend to take longer to sort out and it typically points us back to our internal legal team instead of offering direct guidance. That pattern strengthens my impression that it excels at the administrative side of leave management rather than serving as a strategic advisor. Finally, the price is on the higher side but I do acknowledge the value they provide, especially when I weigh the time saved and the reduced compliance risk compared to handling everything internally.

One thing I appreciated was how tidy and convenient it's workflow felt. The communication stayed feasible and the site made it simple for me to monitor leave specifics without needless back-and-forth. Having someone assigned to my case also gave me real peace of mind.
Cons
I've noticed the filing-to-payment timeframe could be quicker. For some people, the span from submitting a claim to actually getting paid has seemed rather long. I get that delays often stem from things it can't control, like how fast doctors finish paperwork, employees' promptness and state processing rules but it can still be pretty frustrating.

I'm really impressed with how friendly, responsive and supportive the team is. We get regular check-ins that help keep our policies up-to-date and compliant across every state. The dashboard is updated on a continuous basis which makes it so much simpler for HR and employees to manage leave. By combining tech tools with hands-on support, they've cut down HR's administrative load while boosting the employee experience. I've noticed employees feel genuinely supported during life events because communication is clear and pay is accurate and delivered on time.

At the moment I can't think of any drawbacks. I appreciate that it keeps evolving and I value the effort they continuously put into improvements.
