When we teamed up with it in June 2025, it immediately felt like one of the smartest choices our company has made. Before this, we were working with a life and disability carrier that tried hard but simply couldn't provide the all-in-one solution we needed. It went above and beyond our expectations across the board. In terms of value, the platform packs a lot of powerful features at a price that's very competitive, so it's been cost-effective for our growing needs. Their customer support has been outstanding, responsive, well-informed and proactive and every conversation has felt genuinely collaborative. The interface is convenient, so both admins and employees pick it up quickly which has cut down on training time and increased adoption. Time-off handling is smooth now thanks to automated workflows that remove manual tracking and reduce mistakes. This tool also centralizes employee information which makes keeping accurate records and running HR processes much easier. Payroll runs faster and with more accuracy and built-in compliance features give us peace of mind. From onboarding through reporting, automation has freed our team from repetitive work so we can concentrate on strategic priorities. All in all, it has modernized and aligned our Benefits & Leaves operations into an efficient, employee-focused experience.
Cons
Personally, the main downside I'd point out is the initial learning curve for some of the more advanced features. Because the platform covers such a broad set of capabilities, leave management, payroll, employee records and process automation, it did take our team a while to fully dive in and configure everything to match how we work. That said, I'll give credit where it's due, it's support team was extremely helpful throughout setup, guiding us through the complexities. Once we got beyond that initial configuration period, the system settled in and has been smooth and reliable for our day-to-day needs.

Honestly, what I value most about this software is that they shoulder the bulk of the compliance work and subject-matter expertise for the various state and provincial leave laws. It means I don't need to spend hours deciphering each jurisdiction's nuances because it has already done that legwork. They also take on most of the heavy lifting when it comes to filing state/government and disability claims which saves a ton of time and lowers the chance of mistakes. Their platform is a real win too, the dashboard is clean, easy to use and the reporting is great. I'm also glad they rolled out manager and HRBP dashboards along with automated email reminders, since those features keep employees, managers and HR on the same page without me chasing everyone down. On top of everything, our current group of CSMs and Leave Specialists has been fantastic, compared to our initial team (which, to be frank, was a bit rough at times), this new crew is responsive, knowledgeable and genuinely enjoyable to work with.
Cons
biggest area I'd like to see improve is responsiveness. Their usual turnaround is around two days which is understandable given how complex leave cases can be but that pace feels slow when we're dealing with urgent, time-sensitive matters. Payroll processing remains a recurring point as well, it can come across as clunky and delayed and payroll reconciliations are often one of the more frustrating parts of the experience. Part of that is because we're on a PEO which layers in extra complexity that it has to navigate with us. Another limitation shows up with complex, one-off leave situations, those tend to take longer to sort out and it typically points us back to our internal legal team instead of offering direct guidance. That pattern strengthens my impression that it excels at the administrative side of leave management rather than serving as a strategic advisor. Finally, the price is on the higher side but I do acknowledge the value they provide, especially when I weigh the time saved and the reduced compliance risk compared to handling everything internally.

These issues are pretty small overall but they do exist so I'm bringing them up here. One improvement I'd like to see is at least some phone support, even if it's only during limited hours. Also, we had two renewal calls with the CFO that felt a bit off, the first call surprised me because the email had said it was just to hear about our experience, not a renewal and during the second call there seemed to be technical glitches which are understandable but disrupted the conversation. I remember thinking that while our day-to-day team gives true white-glove service, those CFO calls didn't match that same level. They are minor annoyances, yet somehow I can't quite shake them from my mind.

I'm really impressed with the concierge-level support they provide to both administrators and employees. We also value the flexible pricing model and the consultative, advisory approach they use to guide us on leave matters, compliance, policy development and best-practice recommendations.
Cons
The only improvement I can point to is a single nice-to-have feature, I'd like to be able to see more detailed information about how much eligible leave time an employee actually has available, rather than only viewing what they've already taken.

Using it gives our employees a much-improved experience when it comes to handling leave and I appreciate that it brings expertise in areas my team lacks.
Cons
I noticed a few hiccups as they worked to become experts on matters from the Colorado perspective but I feel they have responded to our concerns with genuine urgency.
