“Creative and enjoyable to use”

Pros

I enjoy working with it because it is easy to use and gives me more freedom to be creative in my work.

Cons

The main downside for me is the pricing, as it can be quite expensive for small businesses.

“excellent for complex task mapping”

Pros

Visualizing very complex tasks is what really stands out to me. I can lay everything out clearly and organize it in a way that makes sense to me.

Cons

With so many options available the platform can sometimes feel a little overwhelming and frustrating.

“Engaging platform for persona mapping”

Pros

Creating visual, customizable and engaging personas and customer journey maps has become one of my favorite parts of the job. The platform has also helped bring CX and design thinking deeper into how our organization works.

Cons

I just wish my current plan came with more personas.

“Ideal for teaching experience design”

Pros

With only 12 weeks in a semester, I have very little time to introduce new platforms so this has been a great tool for both me and my students. It is easy to use, adapts well and has plenty of customizable templates and video guides, helping students get comfortable quickly with little instruction from me. From an admin side, I also appreciate how quickly the friendly online support team handles small issues and questions.

Cons

A few of the persona templates could be designed differently. My students often copy the current ones without fully understanding the content especially the sliders.

“flexible setup students learn fast”

Pros

Flexibility is one of the things I value most because I can adjust different project elements to fit my students' needs. They can also learn it and start using it quickly which shows how easy the tool is for them.

Cons

Managing users is more difficult than it needs to be in an educational setting because I have to invite each user manually and then remove them manually as well. Doing this every term for more than 40 users takes quite a bit of time.

“Clear customer mapping”

Pros

Starting with the platform is very easy. It has a simple feel while still being smart and practical and it makes capturing and clearly showing the customer easy.

Cons

No complaints. If anything, I just wish I had more time to use it during the free trial.

“templates make planning easier”

Pros

Having a wide range of templates across different sectors and industries is a big help. It saves you from having to think through how to set up all the different team possibilities yourself. It's also very easy to make research and assumptions visible and the recently added image library has made the whole process even more convenient.

Cons

A few of the cards still can't be customized enough. For instance the skills section in Personas is locked into a single block of five sliders instead of being split into separate cards and the values on those sliders can't be adjusted more freely. It's a minor issue but adding that level of flexibility would make an already excellent product even better.

“Excellent overview”

Pros

It gives a clear overview and offers plenty of customization, while still being very easy to use. The customer support is also very helpful and overall it feels like a modern, state-of-the-art tool with automatic saving which is a big plus.

Cons

One small downside is that the default language is set to English.

“Amazing UX”

Pros

UX feels modern and polished the functionality is excellent and having the pro version available for universities at no cost is a big advantage.

Cons

It would be even better with stronger integration for pulling in external idea sources, such as links and similar references. The presentation mode could also use some improvement when handling more complex journeys.

“Excellent for visualizing customer journeys”

Pros

This has been very easy to use and has helped my digital marketing students clearly visualize the customer journey that prospective customers go through. It also makes it much easier to spot opportunities to improve processes or create content marketing pieces that can better support interactions and touchpoints along the way.

Cons

Over the last two years there have only been a few minor bugs and they were fixed quickly. Aside from that, like with any new tool, it took some time to get comfortable using it although the videos and case studies you provide helped shorten the learning curve quite a bit.

“Easy interface that works well”

Pros

Interface is really simple which makes the software easy to use right away.

Cons

Website is not available in French and there's no way to assign restricted access to users. That means one user can delete another user's job and it's also not possible to hide your work from other users.

“Amazing for teaching UX research”

Pros

Teaching Personas, CJMs and team collaboration has been much easier with this tool. My students pick it up quickly and the way the software is set up encourages them to keep expanding their projects with more data and additional fields. I also really value the built-in examples and explanations across many of the features since they make the product even more approachable and useful in a learning environment.

Cons

This is not really a complaint but I can see how integration with Figma, Adobe XD or other prototyping tools would be helpful.

“flexible journey mapping done right”

Pros

It handles both quick, simple journey maps and larger, more complex ones without making the process difficult. The tool has all the features I need and I can customize a lot when I want to or just stick with the default settings and still end up with a polished-looking journey map.

Cons

Performance could be better when working on larger maps.

“Feasible for mapping workshops”

Pros

Getting started felt very easy and the built-in explainers for each box and section make the platform easy to understand. It is clearly designed to support a strong discovery process and we have learned a lot by working through journey mapping, impact mapping and persona creation. We also really appreciate how easily these pieces connect especially being able to bring elements like personas into other views such as the journey map. The visualisation tools are very good the guidance around categorisation is helpful and there is also enough flexibility to choose which options to use depending on the situation.

Cons

One limitation is that there is no way to create a scaled one-page view for sharing when a journey map or impact map becomes large. That makes it harder to bring along stakeholders who are less closely involved especially people who are less familiar or comfortable with this type of work and who we are trying to get buy-in from.

“Simple tool”

Pros

Right from the start the tool felt easy to use and very simple which were the main reasons we chose it. On top of that the way persona integration is handled is really well thought out.

Cons

It would be very helpful to have a versioning feature that includes comments and possibly a compare option as well.
