On top of that, the firewall and network scanner add another layer of protection by securing the network and helping identify vulnerabilities. The web shield and link scanner are also useful for blocking unsafe websites and checking links before they're opened. File protection is another valuable feature especially for defending important business data from ransomware. I also appreciate the remote management tools since they make it possible to monitor and control device security from one central place. Another plus is that it works across Windows, Mac and Linux which makes it practical for businesses using different operating systems.

A few drawbacks are worth keeping in mind with AVG Internet Security Business Edition. The price can become fairly expensive especially if there are many devices that need coverage. Getting it installed was quick and it does a good job detecting both viruses and malware. The firewall is a useful extra even though working through the rules can be frustrating. Ransomware protection is essential for a business so that feature is definitely a big plus.

Dealing with the firewall rules is complicated and not very user-friendly. Malware detection still has room for improvement and the scanning engine uses a lot of system resources.

Moving to AVG Internet Security Business Edition was an easy transition. I had already been using AVG personally for about 15 years so moving to the business version felt comfortable and gave me the same sense of security. Using it has been pretty clear and simple and it's a brand I feel comfortable relying on. The pricing sits somewhere in the middle for antivirus software and it is a feature rich programme. I especially appreciate the peace of mind of knowing my PC is protected and my data stays secure while I'm streaming on Twitch.

Cons

The biggest downside is the price. It's a good service but it still feels a bit expensive for what you get especially if you're a small business solo contractor or streamer working alone. For bigger companies though, I'd definitely recommend it. If you've got two or more people in the business, I'd say it's worth getting right away if you want dependable protection for company PCs and data.

Because of that, I think it is much more effective for basic everyday use than for people who download a lot of files each day from many different websites or external links.

I've mostly used the free version for email security and PC protection and it covered those basics well for a long time. These days though, it's pretty clearly been overtaken by other free tools that handle the same jobs while also including real-time protection and feeling less intrusive overall.
