“Lightweight protection you can rely on”
Pros
One thing we really appreciate about AVG is how little it impacts system resources. Our computers don't slow down from background activity which makes a big difference day to day. We've been using AVG for years and it's been very reliable with hardly any issues from viruses.
Cons
My biggest annoyance is how often the company pushes us to sign up for additional products. It feels nonstop.

“Regular updates with an easy setup”
Pros
Getting started with this product is very manageable and the automatic regular updates are a big plus. Running a scan at least once a month or even more often, seems to keep everything performing at its best.
Cons
The free version does leave out a few important features although that really hasn't been a major reason for me to stop using it.

“Protection you can rely on when it counts”
Pros
Getting this antivirus up and running is very manageable since you can choose the options you want and simply move through the setup with a few clicks. It does a good job of protecting devices when it really counts. I'd definitely say prevention is better than cure so it makes sense to have it in place before any attack happens.
Cons
At times, it can make the system feel a bit slower and the payment reminder notifications can get annoying. That part could be handled better so customers feel more comfortable and less pressured into paying.

“Advanced firewall management”
Pros
This has been the standout feature for me. It's one of the strongest firewall options out there and, in my view, does a better job than other internet security products like Norton. I can set specific firewall rules for each application and even system processes that use bandwidth can be blocked which is really useful.
Cons
These days, like a lot of other antivirus programs, AVG can slow down lower-end systems. The customer support also isn't very impressive.

“Strong security with minimal system impact”

One of the best things about it is how strong the antivirus protection is without slowing down the computer at all.
Cons
The interface can feel a bit too simplistic at times but it still works perfectly well.

“Effective spam filtering and dependable security”
Pros
Running AVG Internet Security Business Edition in our small office has been a really good experience. It feels much more user-friendly than it used to be over the years and everything is very easy to navigate and to the point. I use the business version at work for a team of about 15 people and with the amount of spam email we get, it has been very helpful. The software lets us scan emails quickly and also gives us an added layer of firewall protection.
Cons
Honestly, there is very little to complain about when it comes to AVG. They have been around for a long time and that shows. If I had to point out one thing, it would be the pricing since it could be a bit better. Still, everyone wants a better deal when it comes to software.

“Dependable security with smart ad blocking”
Pros
AVG Internet Security is one of the most widely used antivirus programs and it does a really good job of keeping devices protected especially while connected to the internet. It automatically scans for and blocks malware and spam which is probably its biggest advantage. The newer versions also include the ability to block inappropriate ads and that adds another useful layer of protection for users.
Cons
With the latest versions of AVG Internet Security some features are locked unless you pay extra which can be frustrating. Another downside is that the system still fails to detect certain newer types of viruses.

“Strong security with full access and simple management”
Pros
The 30-day trial includes every feature, giving us enough time to properly evaluate the platform before making a decision. It made it easy to explore the available tools and understand how everything worked without feeling rushed.
Cons
My biggest concern is that my information was put at risk after a data breach. Even though plenty of software companies have dealt with breaches recently, it is still crucial that every possible precaution is taken to keep user data protected and secure.

“Trusted security across every device”
Pros
Across all of my home computers, this is the software I rely on. It gives me peace of mind while I'm browsing the web and I really appreciate that it can run frequent virus checks.
Cons
I honestly don't have many complaints about this software. If anything, I probably just need to spend more time exploring the settings it offers to keep my computer as protected as possible.

“Practical protection for all your devices”
Pros
this antivirus has been a really interesting option for me especially because it takes up very little space. It's practical to use and feels quite different from those annoying, overly complicated antivirus programs. This one is much more well structured. It also provides security for apps, browsing and Wi-Fi networks which makes it feel very complete.
Cons
At times, the app runs into an error and crashes. Still, it's nothing too serious since restarting the device usually fixes it.

“Helpful background scanning features”
Pros
I went with the free version and after installing it, the software just keeps running quietly in the background. If needed, you can also launch a specific scan whenever you want.
Cons
One thing that really got on my nerves was the constant push to upgrade. Every few days, it felt like another notification popped up which became pretty annoying and frustrating.

Pros
It's a widely recognized tool and the standard software used by our institution. As a security solution for both employees and students, it works effectively and efficiently.
Cons

“Trusted security year after year”
Pros
Over the years, this software has earned my full trust. It has alerted me when my computer was at risk, stopped me from making mistakes on potentially dangerous websites and even guided me on what to do if malware became a threat. I've kept renewing this product for years because I truly believe it's worth having.
Cons
After I added AVG TuneUp and extended the protection to my phone as well, several features on my mobile device ended up being blocked.

“Lightweight security for every device”
Pros
AVG offers a free version which makes it a great option if you want to test it out first. The installation process is simple and user-friendly as well. If it works for you, upgrading to the full security package gives strong all-around protection for all your devices. One thing I really appreciate about AVG is its low memory usage so it doesn't slow down the computer or device while running scans.
Cons
The free version only includes basic protection which is pretty standard. The settings can be a bit complicated to work through and every now and then it flags .exe files as viruses which can cause installation issues.

“Performance declines over time”
Pros
When I was a user AVG was a pretty dependable free antivirus. You could install it and count on it to possibly catch viruses or trojans before they caused serious damage to your computer.
Cons
Since then though, it has turned into software that makes the whole computer slow to a crawl. They also added a browser toolbar that tracks your online activity and at that point it really felt like they crossed over to the dark side.

It does an excellent job protecting against viruses that come through downloads and email attachments. The interface is very user-friendly and it runs quietly in the background so I can keep working on my computer without interruptions.

Pros
Right from installation, it feels simple and coherent to use. Setup is self explanatory and it gives a trustable sense of security knowing the software can catch, quarantine, delete or repair problems caused by malware or viruses. It stays running quietly in the background without getting in the way.
Cons

“Dependable security for every device”
Pros
Having a free antivirus that actually works well at home has been a big plus. I use it on my phone and across all the devices in my household and it has been very efficient.
Cons
