One of the things I really like about CimTrak is how it monitors files and system configurations in real time, not just on a set schedule. This is critical for catching threats as they happen, rather than discovering them after the damage has been done.

Cons

The UI/UX could definitely use a more modern touch and the compliance module could benefit from better dashboards.

Pros

Although I've been using CimTrak for less than a year, I can't say enough good things about it. The ease of use is unmatched, the price is fantastic and the support team is incredible. The real standout feature for me is the file integrity monitoring with real time detection of unauthorized changes. The support staff is knowledgeable and always there when needed.

I haven't come across anything I don't like so far but I did notice that the report scheduler felt outdated. I just found out that they have updated the scheduler in their latest release and I'm really looking forward to upgrading to that version soon.

Pros

What stands out the most about its Integrity Suite is how comprehensive and userfriendly it is for integrity monitoring and compliance. The real time monitoring and alerting features are crucial for maintaining security, while its flexibility, scalability and seamless integration make it perfect for our growing organization. The excellent support from the CimTrak team has really solidified our confidence in the software. Overall it's made a significant difference in our cybersecurity and compliance efforts.

Cons

One area where CimTrak Integrity Suite could improve is by adding more tailored compliance support for Middle Eastern standards. Incorporating these regional standards would be a great addition for users in this region.

We love CimTrak because of its real time monitoring, ability to execute post-command actions, and strong compliance features. It's incredibly easy to use and understand, which makes it less complex, making it a good fit for many industries. With CimTrak, we can automate compliance management, generate comprehensive reports, gain valuable insights and uncover new events we didn't know about before. It's been a trusted tool for maintaining robust IT security in an increasingly complex environment.

The product updates quickly but the manual documentation doesn't quite keep up. This is an area that could use some improvement.

I think the installation process could be more friendly for non technical people, it wasn't as simple as I expected.

Onboarding devices into CimTrak is really simple. It supports monitoring for all the types of devices in our environment so we didn't need to rely on any other tool to cover other types of devices. The customer support is fantastic too and they're always quick to respond.

Cons

Some of the changes don't tell us which user made the update, which would be useful information to have.

We use this in a very specific way, using custom commands to track specific outputs, such as password policy settings or installed VIBs on an ESXi host. It allows us to monitor and report on changes and create baseline reports for our NERC CIP requirements. This has helped us spend less time on small details and more time focusing on securing our systems.

Cons

The downside of using CimTrak for our specific compliance needs is that sometimes the output or reports we need aren't available out of the box. However, it worked with us to develop custom reports to fit our specifications. I'm excited for the continued growth and enhancements that will come with future updates.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. The representative really represents the gold standard for customer support. Their focus on customer support is phenomenal.

I haven't experienced any downsides so far! This is definitely the more easy, sensible choice compared to the complexity of TripWire.

CimTrak gives us a comprehensive overview of all the changes to system files for the endpoints being monitored.

This has been really helpful and I just don't see any downside to it at this point.
