“Easy domain setup
Pros
It's straightforward to set up and connects directly to your domain to deploy the agent automatically. You can fully customize how patches are rolled out and even automate the process using test groups and approval workflows.
Cons
Sometimes the only way to get a group of machines fully updated is to delete the deployment job and create a new oneit seems to push updates to a batch of them before stalling.

“Great for automation
Pros
I think it's been great for streamlining and automating updates in our complex production environment. ManageEngine helps us keep everything current without constant manual effort.
Cons
There's nothing I can think of to add here, I'm not come across any issues at the moment.

“Fast patch profiles
Pros
The automatic patch profiles are a standout feature, they make deployments faster than with other tools, while still giving you clear visibility into which patches are on each device.
Cons
Since we use Intune, it would be ideal if we could manage updates through it directly and avoid using an extra agent. Also, the Mac installer requires an additional file, and when I package everything together, Intune doesn't recognize it as properly signed, leading to installation failures.

“Web portal simplifies work
Pros
For me, the web-based admin portal is simple to use. It handles so much of the routine work that our IT team can focus on more important tasks.
Cons
I'd like the ability to manually update more than 50 devices at once. It would also be helpful if the agent could persistently prompt for or force a reboot when needed.

“portal customization is great
Pros
I'm really impressed by its capabilities, especially for scheduling reboots, controlling updates, and generating detailed reports on installed patches.
Cons
The ability to customize the portal is a standout feature, it's especially useful when presenting the tool to company stakeholders.

“Easy test setup
Pros
The software was easy to download, install, and get running in a test setup. We could try out almost every feature without constantly needing to check the manuals.
Cons
Test group setup could be improved. I'd also appreciate more advanced tutorials to help make the most of all the available features.

“Remote patching saved us
Pros
We started using it before COVID, when remote work wasn't as common. Its ability to handle off-network patching saved us from major headaches. deployments are simple to manage and track, and I especially like the dashboard's built-in security news feed, which links right to relevant patches.
Cons
Reporting has improved but still feels a bit limited. For example, the client scans for installed software but can't actually report on it in a detailed way.

“User-friendly with good support
Pros
It's user-friendly and easy to put in place. The dashboard is especially well-designed, and customer support is responsive and helpful when needed. The knowledge base is also a great resource.
Cons
Occasionally, patches fail to install without clear error messages, which makes troubleshooting difficult.

“Centralized client management
Pros
It lets us manage all our clients from a single, centralized platform, which is a huge efficiency win.
Cons
Connectivity issues are the biggest drawback we've encountered with the solution.

“Highly customizable but cloud may not be best fit
Pros
It's highly customizable, you can adjust the thresholds for what's considered a healthy or vulnerable computer. Features like scheduled restarts are also very useful.
Cons
Even though I used the cloud version, I suspect the on-premise option might have been a better fit for our needs.

“Easy with detailed reports
Pros
The platform is easy to use and generates very detailed reports. The pricing is also reasonable and affordable.
Cons
Adding extra agents costs extra, it would be helpful if at least two agents were included for free to manage the account.

“Solid Patch Management
Pros
I really appreciate the automated patch deployment, along with the ability to test patches and require approvals before rolling them out.
Cons
I'd like more flexibility in creating custom groups and the ability to disable auto-updates for certain customized patches.

“Automated patching is good
Pros
ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus automates the entire patching process smoothly, which saves us a lot of time and effort. I especially like that it handles both OS and third-party updates and provides detailed reports for compliance.
Cons
The initial setup can take some time, and the interface feels a bit outdated. A more modern UI would significantly improve the user experience.

“great dashboard
Pros
The dashboard is intuitive and gives a quick, clear overview of our system status. Deployment policies are easy to set up with plenty of pre- and post-deployment options. The agent is lightweight and simple to deploy, and the price can't be beat.
Cons
We had some trouble with patches for Windows Server 2012 R2, though that's likely due to us not upgrading to newer server versions rather than a problem with the tool itself.

“Simple and friendly to use
Pros
Best part is how simple and straightforward the product is to use.
Cons
Patches sometimes don't deploy correctly if they aren't configured or downloaded properly. I also wish there was a dedicated computer-based training (CBT) module for this application.

“Easy device finding
Pros
When set up properly, it's very easy to find devices and check their status. With the full MSP package, you can even remote into devices to troubleshoot or perform administrative tasks directly.
Cons
Certain parts of the initial configuration can be confusing but there's documentation available in the portal and the support team is always helpful when you reach out.
