“It's a fantastic MFA solution
Pros
This solution has been instrumental in protecting our internal environment with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), going beyond just securing interactive logins to cover PSExec, PS and more, something solutions like DUO don't offer unless installed on each workstation. The fact that we can leverage our existing Azure MFA setup without requiring users to install another app is a huge plus. The best part is that installation only needs to be done on our Domain Controller, not every workstation. It has been an excellent investment and we are excited to see how they continue to improve and develop the solution.
Cons
The dashboard and interface look fantastic but despite the good appearance, there's a lack of practical functionality behind it. Investigating threats or incidents often leads to a frustrating cycle of clicking around, trying to find any relevant information related to a specific threat or incident. While there are filtering options, it would be beneficial if the system directed you to the specific log entries when you clicked. The workflows on the interface could be more streamlined, while there's a lot of valuable information, you can't click on it to access further details or take actions like marking something as a "false positive." You have to navigate to a different page, find the account and mark it there. Also the event flagging system could be more detailed. We've had instances where users were flagged as HIGH or CRITICAL risk, but the only risk indicator was Abnormal Authentication. What does that mean and why was the risk level escalated to critical? It would be helpful to understand the reasoning so we can educate or make necessary adjustments, either with the user's behavior or through configuration changes. Finally, the PoC and implementation could have been better. We had a new team member assisting and some issues arose that turned out to be software bugs, which required an update.

“Easily enhancing security
Pros
We have successfully set up on-prem MFA login, service account protection, and RADIUS capabilities in an easy-to-manage and administrator-friendly manner. It also offers valuable security insights.
Cons
It would be great if version upgrades could be downloaded and initiated from the admin console.

“Flexible software
Pros
Before I dive deeper, the best feature for me has been the support. This tool offers flexibility in implementing Multi-Factor Authentication across multiple platforms, including Remote Desktop, VPN, on-site logins and more.
Cons
The app has been updated to fix the one issue we initially had. Previously if you wanted to remove an account, the app had to be uninstalled from a user's phone. Now it's possible to remove an account directly from the app. The only remaining challenge is getting users to notify us when they have purchased a new phone.

“Amazing solution, excellent security!
Pros
During our search for a more secure environment, we discovered Silverfort. After reaching out for a demo, we decided to purchase their solution. Since then, they have been there to guide us through every step, from implementation to support and upgrades. We can always contact them whenever we have an issue or a question, and they are quick to respond. We are excited about the new features they continue to roll out. This solution has undeniably strengthened our security.
Cons
I wish the mobile app looked more modern, had an import feature from other MFA apps and could send emails to the IT team when an anomaly is detected. It would also be helpful if they were on DIR, allowing other government entities to take advantage of this solution. The pricing is a bit higher than most would expect.

“A potential addition to our suite of offerings
Pros
Implementation process is straightforward, thanks to Silverfort's custom scripting that integrates seamlessly into the customer's system. The dashboards are clear and to the point. Syslog shipping makes it easy to collect LDAP and KRBGT events across the enterprise for investigation or real time monitoring with a SIEM. Its ability to go from concept to feature implementation is highly impressive. They have successfully thwarted every "Pass the Hash" attack and most man in the middle attacks, something that other 2FA solutions often fail to address.
Cons
If this were to be used in a SOC environment, there's a limitation on defining granular permissions for Silverfort users. This feature is more suited for case management and visibility segregation, and to their credit, it never marketed it as a primary feature. It's more of a personal nice-to-have for me. RADIUS capability would also be a great addition.
