“Excellent Security Solution with Exceptional Technical Support
Pros
ThreatLocker is a comprehensive application allow-listing security solution that offers robust protection against cyber threats while providing a smooth user experience. My experience with ThreatLocker has been particularly positive due to the outstanding technical support. The software onboarding person was knowledgeable and really understood all features of the software.
Cons
Adopting new technologies like ThreatLocker involves a lot of practice. A significant amount of time and effort is necessary for proficiency which can lead to challenges such as reduced productivity frustration and increased training costs.

“Threatlcocker - Please help other Vendors Support like you do!
Pros
The standout feature of ThreatLocker is its Cyber Heroes. We use a lot of software in our company, and no one else offers support like they do. We have regular meetings with an engineer during client deployments and he is outstanding. The product is excellent, blocking anything not already covered by our policies, which is especially useful for zero-day or new attacks.
Cons
The main issue is that it takes time to become comfortable with the program. However, the Cyber Heroes are always available if help is needed.

“Personal Review
Pros
I appreciate the ease of the new portal and unified audit, along with the app, which makes it very convenient to respond to requests and access other features on the fly.
Cons
There is nothing particularly negative to mention. The legacy portal was quite complex and not very user-friendly initially but the new portal is excellent.

“Missing link in the cyber protection stack.
Pros
ThreatLocker restricts workstations and servers from installing new or unapproved software and applications. Its interface allows users to request approval for installing new applications. This protection applies to both regular users and administrators.
Cons
Setting up and understanding the system can be overwhelming at first though the support is excellent.

“Good Stuff
Pros
Adding "blocked" programs that need to be allowed is relatively easy. Email alerts for access requests enable quick resolution of issues.
Cons
In the IT field where we frequently download and install various software it would be helpful to have an "override" option from the desktop, possibly granted to specific users like administrators. A timed out feature could be useful, allowing the override option to remain open for 30 minutesI have not found anything to dislike about the product so far.

“Best in class application control
Pros
ThreatLocker was incredibly easy to deploy with integrations into our RMM tool. it is very easy to customize any feature in the app.
Cons
Clients need to understand that they must sacrifice some convenience for security as they will constantly need to request permission to make any changes on their computers.

“Threatlocker - best endpoint security protection to date.
Pros
The software is powerful but, as with all security tools, questions arise that require prompt vendor clarification. ThreatLocker's "Cyber Hero" support elevates the solution significantly. Most issues are reviewed and resolved by their support team, and for more complex queries, data is provided to help us make quick security decisions. The result is a high-security profile with minimal user frustration, which is quite rare these days.
Cons
Initially it can be overwhelming to review audit logs with numerous DLLs and items being audited. Having the ThreatLocker Help Desk and onboarding team guide you through the process makes it much easier. It's recommended to allot dedicated time for setup and onboarding clients and to involve your internal team in calls.

“A critical part of our Cyber Security Stack
Pros
The ability to lock down the endpoint to the extent that even adding a browser extension can be blocked is impressive.
Cons
Occasionally there may be slowness or confusion when dealing with multiple policies that seem to address the same issue. If something is being blocked it may be due to a policy that was not previously known.

“ZeroTrust Solution with Deny-by-default Concept
Pros
It is the only product on the market that has consistently implemented the Zero Trust Concept, allowing only known entities and denying everything else including ransomware.
Cons
Although ThreatLocker is a highly feature rich and powerful tool it requires substantial learning. This is offset by the extremely useful Knowledge Base, threat locker University and the Cyber Hero Support Team.

“ThreatLocker: Zero-Trust Endpoint Protection for every MSP stack
Pros
ThreatLocker has allowed us to offer a comprehensive zero-trust endpoint protection package to our clients. This ensures their systems are secure from emerging cybersecurity threats. We can review, respond to, and act on client requests easily. Key features include Allowlisting, Ringfencing and Elevation Control. Allowlisting controls which applications can run, Ringfencing defines what an allowed application can do, and Elevation Control manages admin rights through individual policies. setting it up was not a problem and it came with instructions for various remote management tools. After the initial learning phase, we review audit logs and build policies. The ThreatLocker Cyber Hero Support Team has been incredibly helpful throughout our installation journey. They are always available to assist and provide solutions via chat or Zoom if needed.
Cons
The platform can be highly technical. It's advisable to utilize the available training in the University.

“ThreatLocker Works
Pros
It gives me peace of mind knowing that this product proactively prevents issues rather than just reporting problems after they occur.
Cons
There are few negatives to mention. I would appreciate more analytics specifically around the response and resolution rates of the Cyber Hero managers.

“Excellent addition to our tech stack
Pros
The product works as advertised, and they are a great partner. Onboarding was a great experience, with weekly meetings to address our specific client needs, which facilitated a seamless deployment to over 3000 endpoints. The Cyber Hero managers are very prompt in addressing any end-user requests.
Cons
Sometimes ThreatLocker does not elevate an application as expected when it has been set for approval. This intermittent issue requires raising with the ThreatLocker team. I am confident it is an easy fix and the Cyber Heroes will be happy to address it. This is the only negative I can think of.
