A great alternative to Lightroom

Pros

I like the variety of features it offers especially the photo editing tools and camera control.

Cons

The app can be a bit overwhelming at times and I personally think the pricing is on the higher side.

perfect for wedding photographers

Pros

Capture One has been my go to for bulk photo editing for about 15 years. I have returned to it time and time again after experimenting with other options. They also offer perpetual licenses.

Cons

It does not support Linux and the Windows version still has several bugs that have not been fixed despite me reporting them and trying to explain the issues.

Does it work but at times it falls short

Pros

It is the gold standard for studio based photography image capture. Honestly I find nothing else compares to this.

Cons

Sometimes it feels a bit exaggerated and the ongoing subscription model is something I did not like.

The leader in digital photo editing

Pros

From my perspective Capture One delivers better results than its competitors. The interface is user friendly and easy to navigate and I feel like it helps me work faster.

Cons

Perpetual licenses are not really perpetual since either the hardware or the OS will eventually expire and these licenses cannot be upgraded which I take as a major con.

A good choice for photo editing

Pros

The processing speed is excellent and the color profiles are superior to other software I come across like Lightroom. The tethered shooting feature is fantastic too for studio photography and the before and after function is a really neat addition.

Cons

It is a bit pricey and some functions are hard to figure out. Amd I feel like AI-based subject separation still needs a lot of improvement.
