“Solid 3D Graphics Tool
Pros
The layer-based system feels natural to me since I come from an Adobe After Effects background. It's really handy for creating elements and motion graphics work. Lighting and texturing are simple and there are prebuilt lighting setups and textures available for your elements and scenes. Making custom textures is simple too. I can easily create models or import existing ones into my animations. Getting models into animations is smooth and integration with other software like After Effects works well.
Cons
Starting out can be very challenging if you're new to this stuff. You really need to understand 3D modeling, lighting, and texturing before diving in. Animation principles are also essential, without that foundation, your going to struggle quite a bit.

“Top modeling tool with limitations
Pros
I find this software incredibly simple to work with and there's an abundance of helpful videos and tutorials available for both beginners and those looking to advance their skills. The installation was easy on my Windows machine and getting started felt natural right away. What really impresses me is how comprehensive it is and I can create 3D models from basic shapes, sculpt and modify them, then add textures and materials all within the same program. Everything I need for my projects is built right in which saves me from switching between different tools.
Cons
One downside is that there are free alternatives out there that offer similar 3D modeling capabilities, so the value proposition isn't always clear.

“Perfect Tool for Motion Design Workflow
Pros
The presets are fantastic and the interface really stands out especially coming from a traditional graphic design background, I find it incredibly easy to work with.
Cons
Rendering takes forever and you need a powerful machine to handle detailed scenes without it slowing down to a crawl.

“Powerful Features with Steep Learning
Pros
I can generate some really impressive assets that work perfectly for motion graphics projects especially when I'm working with AR implementations.
Cons
It can be really confusing at times and there are barely any online training materials or tutorials to help.

“Pricey but Worth the Investment
Pros
It has really grown into something special for 3D modeling work. What impresses me most is how it handles complex scenes while maintaining that realistic physics simulation. The rendering capabilities are absolutely stunning especially when you add some plugins to enhance the photorealistic output. It's genuinely incredible what this tool can accomplish.
Cons
The cost is absolutely insane especially considering Blender exists as free open-source software that's nearly as powerful and capable.

“Solid Software!
Pros
I appreciate how versatile this software is and it covers everything from basic modeling and texturing to advanced lighting, animation and rendering. Whether I'm working on simple 3D projects or tackling complex visual effects, it handles the workload really well.
Cons
It comes with plenty of built-in tools but when you need more advanced features or specialized workflows, you'll likely have to buy third-party plugins. This can really add up cost-wise.

“Five Years Working with C4D
Pros
I find this to be the most user-friendly 3D software out there. The MoGraph and Dynamics features are absolutely the standout elements that make it shine. Working with it feels much more easy compared to 3DS Max and Maya , everything flows faster.
Cons
The VFX pipeline could use some work since it focuses more on motion graphics. While it does have compositing and tracking features, these areas need more development to really compete with other tools.

“Incredible 3D modeling powerhouse
Pros
I love how simple this software is to use, plus the efficiency and quality of graphics you can produce with it. The Mograph tools are impressive and the integration with After Effects is awesome.
Cons
The pricing is really high and the Maxon One bundle costs way too much even though it comes with tons of plugins. There's no decent trial version available either which is frustrating. The biggest downside is that it only supports Redshift rendering, no other render engines work with it.

“Essential Tool for Motion Graphics Work
Pros
I've been using this since R15 and honestly, it's the ultimate package for motion graphics work. Creating lightweight solid and organic models for interactive, AR and VR projects has never been smoother. The software integrations and plugins really make it shine and you get an incredibly agile visual graphics workflow that just works.
Cons
The subscription pricing model they switched to really bothers me and I miss being able to buy a perpetual license instead of paying monthly fees forever.

“Powerful rendering and animation creation tool
Pros
The modeling, rendering and animation capabilities are fantastic. I'm really impressed with the built-in render engine and it produces excellent results on its own. When you pair it with external engines like Vray, the quality becomes even more outstanding! Cross-platform support for both Windows and Mac means I never have to worry about compatibility problems.
Cons
It doesn't have as many plugins and materials as 3DS Max and Maya.

“M experience with cinema 4d
Pros
It's really approachable especially compared to other 3D packages out there. The modeling tools are solid and it handles motion graphics and rendering quite well. What I appreciate most is how it doesn't take forever to learn the basics and the interface makes sense and you can actually get productive pretty quickly without feeling overwhelmed.
Cons
The recent switch to a subscription model is frustrating. I wish they'd kept the perpetual licensing option and bundled Redshift with it.

“Ideal for projects of any size
Pros
I'm impressed with the animation tools here and they're top-notch. What grabbed my attention right away though was how clean and visually comfortable the workspace is. I can work on 3D projects for hours without feeling fatigued which makes the whole experience genuinely enjoyable.
Cons
The modeling features work fine but could definitely use some upgrades, particularly when it comes to retopology. If your looking for a fast, automated way to retopo your models, you'll find the built-in tools pretty limiting and might need to look elsewhere.
