“really disappointing support

Pros

The quality is really solid and reliable but it does take some time of mine to get the hang of the software. However once I get used to it, it works great.

Cons

Well the support is really disappointing. They are only available during regular business hours and are completely closed on weekends nothing after 5 PM. I have wasted so much time just waiting for email replies. Since everything is done over email, it can take a full day to fix even a small problem. I have multiple issues with it that never seem to get resolved. I leave messages and just hope someone eventually calls back. They can remote in to help but often won't and when they do, it can take over an hour just waiting around. Instead of real support, they usually just send links to more links full of reading material but I can find that on my own. What I need is actual help, not more articles to read.

“Feels very limited and scams funds

Pros

Initial setup is pretty simple but after that the platform feels a bit limited in what it can actually do.

Cons

They take a large cut of our earnings and on top of that charge a monthly fee just to access basic features like site analytics.

The mobile versions are very helpful in my daily workflow. Also it is an affordable option for editing photos while I am on the go.

Cons

I honestly cannot think of anything negative or missing from it.

I was really impressed with all the advanced options that were available as it gave me a lot of control and flexibility.

Cons

To be honest I am not sure as I had a lot of fun using it. It was a really pleasant experience.

Its clean design is very impressive. Darkroom is also user friendly, packed with powerful tools and overall a great editor.

Cons

The only thing that bothers us is the price. So we wish it were a bit more budget-friendly. Other than that we have no complaints.

As a semi-pro photographer, I have been using it since it launched. While I feel the price is a bit steep, it's still a valuable tool to have. Also the integrations are really helpful and organize my workflow.

Cons

Only thing I liked least was the final cost of the product.

Pros

After trying to get info from several competitors I found that Darkroom not only met but exceeded my expectations for a photo booth system. And it is simple for both me and my customers to use.

Cons

There is the occasional bug but the developers are quick to respond through online FB chat and support.

“Loved the one-click photoshop integration

Pros

I loved all the customization options and the one-click integration with Photoshop which I use constantly was a huge plus.

Cons

So far I have loved everything and I am currently working on integrating custom graphics.

Pros

One thing I really like is the Dropbox integration for quickly sharing images online. And the interface is simple yet powerful.

Cons

The price could be lower but considering how simple, easy and feature-packed it is, I think it's worth it.

“Incredibly easy to use with green screens

Pros

We use Darkroom for five of our photo booths and it is incredibly easy to use especially with two green screens. No more manual cutouts! Uploading custom graphics and backgrounds is also not a problem and I love that we can automatically save photos to Dropbox and share them directly on Facebook. The text and email features for sending photos to guests are fantastic. Setup was simple too and the tutorials were super helpful. There are so many cool features we have not even tried yet!

Cons

None at all as this product is the best.

“awesome green screen support

Pros

The addition of green screen support in version 9.2 is awesome.

Cons

I feel like the whole interface looks pretty outdated and could really use a visual refresh.

“Powerful features for event photography

Pros

It offers a powerful set of features especially for chroma keying and event photography. The interface is also user friendly and easy to navigate and it's both stable and reliable.

Cons

There is a bit of a gap in reliability between Darkroom Core and Darkroom Booth. The Booth version is newer to the market and still has some bugs but hopefully those will get ironed out as it develops.

“Clean, smooth and easier editing

Pros

What's not to like? The whole program is clean, runs smoothly and the organization makes editing so much easier.

Cons

There are some limits to the editing tools which can be helpful sometimes but when you need more advanced edits, you will have to switch over to Photoshop.
