“A very safe option

Pros

It helps me keep all my photos in one safe place while providing extra storage.

Cons

I have not come across any downsides to using Google Photos so far but it would be nice to have more storage for the space I use.

“I love using it

Pros

I really enjoy Google Photos. It gives me a place to store my photos allowing me to delete them from my camera roll and free up space on my phone. I love that feature. Plus it automatically creates fun videos of people in my life and can easily recognize faces organizing them into categories. Overall it is a really fun app.

Cons

They have added a storage limit which is really frustrating and goes against the apps purpose for me. I am going to run out of space soon and it's making me anxious.

“excellent tool

Pros

What I love about Google Photos is that it allows me to gather photos and preserve memories across many years even with all the device switches, upgrades and resets.

Cons

I really dislike that it can be hard to access when transferring data from one device to another using USB. As I have had to move Google Photos to a local file source just to be able to access it.

“Good for storing photos

Pros

Storing my photos in the cloud is pretty important to me and Google Photos is my preferred choice for its amazing features. My favorite thing is the ability to search for photos by faces or keywords which makes it fairly easy to find exactly what I need. Also the platform is very user friendly and I enjoy getting reminders of memories from years past. Additionally there are plenty of options to organize photos into albums which can be shared easily with others.

Cons

Well I would definitely prefer more free storage but expanding it is reasonably priced. And occasionally it is a bit tricky figuring out features I have not used before but it's never enough to be a major problem.

“Great for some tasks but limited in others

Pros

The storage is easy to locate and the integrations make managing content pretty simple for me. Overall I had a smooth experience.

Cons

To save space Google compresses your photos and videos if you use the Storage Saver option instead of the Original Quality setting. I have noticed a decrease in image and video quality because of this.

Google Photos has allowed me to store my photos safely without worrying about running out of space.

Cons

The layout could use some improvement as for now I find it difficult to organize photos into albums.

“Good though outdated and somewhat limited

Pros

It offers convenient organization and storage providing a good amount of free storage and adding more space is affordable. Also I like the search and Lens features available.

Cons

One thing that is missing is more advanced photo editing tools like adding text and touch ups. For such a big tech company I expected more options. Even after paying for an upgraded service it still feels lacking. Also I like to see the album sidebar be expandable.

Pros

Google Photos is simply the best. Plus I love being able to store as many pictures as I want without the fear of losing them. And I can easily order prints of my photos directly from the app.

Cons

Ordering prints from them is a little expensive but I must say the photo quality is excellent.

The AI integration is something I find great for identifying faces from photos across different age groups and tagging them accordingly.

Cons

Few things I have noticed are that free users have limited file storage and there is no compression option that keeps the photo quality intact.

“Saving photos and videos on Android has never been easier

One of my favorite features is the ability to create albums and share them with friends. And I also love the option to save an optimized version of photos and videos to save space.

Cons

There is one major issue that really bothers me. When sharing a video through Google Photos the video player does not work properly as the play button doesn't respond and the video won't start.

Pros

Google Photos has been an excellent app for my device. I use it to organize my photos and videos and it is very user friendly and well organized.

Cons

Sometimes I notice that photos are automatically synced to cloud storage and I wish there was a notification beforehand to let me know before it happens.

“Great tool to share your photos

Pros

I find it a fairly easy to use tool. The various sharing options and integration with the Google ecosystem are really useful. For example during an event with many people, it is a simple tool to let everyone share photos without the risk of losing them.

Cons

At times it does not upload the photos and there is no indication of it. Also there is no notification that tells us for example uploading in progress/failed.
