jAlbum works for us

Pros

It's great how it handles large filesets with subdirectories. The support team is really helpful and there are so many features to make everything work smoothly.

Cons

I've run into some issues where it takes too long to reprocess the album and sometimes it reprocesses video files that were already done. It can be a bit annoying but it's not a dealbreaker.

Great for showing images

Pros

I love how easy it is to create an album. I just make a directory for the images I want on my webpage, load them up, hit "Make Album" and "Upload," and it automatically creates the HTML for me. Now the images are ready to be displayed.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of anything I dislike about jAlbum so far. I'm sure I haven't explored every feature yet but up until now, there's nothing I don't like about it.

My experience with jAlbum

Pros

It's so easy to use, performs really well and gives me a lot of flexibility. It's definitely made things easier for me.

Cons

I really don't have any issues with jAlbum that I'd consider my least favorite. Everything's been pretty solid so far.

Really solid software

Pros

It does a really great job of creating albums. Every time I use it, the results are spot-on.

Cons

It's definitely not for beginners. You spend a lot of time just learning how to use it. It's powerful but it's not easy to create the exact look and feel you want for a website. Also, modifying skins to integrate albums into another site with the same design can be really tricky.

I used it from 2014-18

Pros

I used to really enjoy how easy it was to upload photos that were shareable and viewable by my teammates. The format was perfect for collaboration.

Cons

I used to really like jAlbum but things have gone downhill. It's been about four years and after renewing, I felt like I was ripped off. The photo quality has dropped, the app is outdated and the interface is still slow. The technological improvements that should've been made just haven't happened. As for customer service, I had a terrible experience. When I tried to voice my concerns about the new app, a rep got really rude with me and wouldn't listen. That really soured my experience and ended my relationship with jAlbum.

My go to tool!

Pros

It's fantastic for building web-based presentations for customers. Really makes the whole process simple and efficient.

Cons

The latest versions don't support Chameleon, so I can't even run the current release. That's very frustrating.
