“Great software

Pros

It is very easy to use and provides great results. Plus I like the fact that the scans can be created and processed almost without any explanation needed.

Cons

I feel like the subscription model could be more affordable or perhaps more tailored as I only use one feature about 99% of the time.

“Fast and accurate geometry capture

Pros

The app quickly captures room geometries. Also it offers excellent export options and I find it easy to use.

Cons

Slanted roofs are not automatically detected and must be added manually which takes time. Additionally radiators are not captured automatically which I did not like too.

It saves me time when capturing and verifying rooms and it documents even the smallest details.

Cons

The capturing process can be a bit tricky at times and the field service team mentioned it is more optimized for iPhones. So iPad users might need some sort of training course.

The work process is structured and simple which is extremely helpful in my daily work as an energy consultant and the best thing is that all at a great price.

Cons

While dimensions and component positions can be adjusted after exporting to ECAD, it would be great if they could be edited directly within the app. Also the categorization of various components and furniture is a bit confusing to me.

“Efficient scan results with minimal setup

Pros

Metaroom scanning process is very simple and surprisingly accurate. I was especially impressed with the results in rooms filled with many shelves and cabinets.

Cons

Scanning dormers and slanted roofs still gives me some trouble. I think I just need more practice with it.

“An amazing application

Pros

It is really an amazing tool. As a CAD design engineer it greatly helps me with project surveys making my work faster and easier. Scanning a building is also quick and simple. Overall it works perfectly for me.

Cons

The results are not very accurate when scanning furniture and other objects. As it still needs improvements in precision. Also there is no way to directly import into a DWG AutoCAD file.

“Awesome product and great team

Pros

The speed of the product is very impressive. Plus it saves me a lot of time.

Cons

I cannot change dimensions afterward for example if something was measured incorrectly and I cannot delete objects like irrelevant ones.

“A genuine measuring tool

Pros

Metaroom app user interface is excellent. Using the scans via the store website is also great. Plus it supports all common formats and the integration into the CAD Cascados is exactly what I was looking for. Also the service and support are quick, friendly and helpful. It is an Austrian company that still offers genuine customer support. The webinars are clear and very informative and the price to performance ratio is excellent.

Cons

Rooms with slanted walls both horizontal and vertical do not come out perfectly. But for a rough measurement I find it good enough.

Pros

It makes data collection on site much easier and helps us complete tasks much faster.

Cons

One thing I noticed is that the software currently only offers limited editing capabilities for the 3D model.

It is a really nice tool. I personally find it very easy to use. Though I have not explored too much yet but so far I am happy with it.

Cons

I have not used it enough yet to properly evaluate it.
