“Top sculpting and texturing software

Pros

The user interface is pretty basic and really easy to use that even beginners will not face any trouble using it.

Cons

I find built-in sculpting and texturing options a bit limited especially when it comes to brushes.

“Minecraft with a twist for architects

Pros

I love how affordable and easy this is to use.

Cons

One thing I do not like is how much storage it takes to download especially when it is similar to something like Minecraft but costs $85 a year.

“makes digital sketching pretty simple

Pros

Mudbox lets me create pretty detailed 3D characters with amazing digital tools. Plus I love how I can sketch ideas, imagine them and finally work on the original design. And it is really user-friendly.

Cons

No cons to share as over time I have learned to sketch, draw and color objects. This has become a key tool in my industry.

“Simple for non-artists

Pros

It makes my job much easier. As part of my work I need to highlight areas that need a different focus. Before using this I would open the OBJ and take screenshots of everything that needed to be adjusted. It is fine for one or two changes but more than that the process became very tedious. I tried Maya but gave up but Mudbox software is easy enough to learn and is perfect for my needs.

Cons

Right-click commands just don't work for me. I am sure they are great for some people but I do not like them.

“Pretty perfect

Pros

Words are not needed when you can clearly see the product idea from every angle. With Mudbox we can create a great model in less than an hour giving us a great starting point.

Cons

It is pretty amazing for drafting but the OBJ files exported are not ideal for creating a final product design.

“Most user-friendly 3D software

Pros

There is a lot to love but the best part is how easy it is to learn. As once we get the basics down which only takes a few minutes or maybe a couple of hours if you dive deeper it becomes pretty simple to use. Plus it offers plenty of templates, brushes and easy selection options. The most exceptional thing is a free version for students.

Cons

Well I would say it is not as powerful for 3D drawings compared to Maya.

“Overall I love it

Pros

I really like how easy the controls are to pick up. Some of the tools remind me of Maya where I used to model 3D objects so the transition was seamless. Also it comes with fun preloaded patterns, colors and effects to practice on which is awesome.

Cons

Sometimes it is a bit glitchy. Also I think it could do a better job of identifying small gaps in the model and closing them automatically for a smoother surface. This was mostly a problem when I intentionally made 3D models messy like when I broke a model to create a shrub in a garden. That made the model unusable in Mudbox so I just colored it in Maya instead.

“Decent tool

Pros

In my opinion it is a great tool for modeling, texturing and lighting though it can be a bit tricky for beginners.

Cons

There is not much that I dislike but yes it is not perfect and there is room for improvement on all sides.
