“Encourages creativity!”
Pros
OpenToonz is like a platform that really encourages my creativity and experimentation. It works as a powerful tool for my artistic work especially with its support for anti-aliased lines that help me produce clean, high-quality digital painting. That also makes working with provisional colors much more convenient. It includes deep learning knowledge, is simple to implement and gives me quick access to customer support. I also appreciate how often I see OpenToonz used to publish results through plug-in effects.
Cons
Overall I thinkthe applicationis good but the first time I used it, it felt fairly complicated. On top of that, the pricing could definitely be improved because it seems expensive compared with other animation software options.

“provide free animation control”
Pros
Considering it's free, OpenToonz packs an impressive amount of power. It gives me a lot of control when working with both vector and raster images for my animation and editing.
Cons
There is definitely a bit of a learning curve, so it can take some time before users feel fully comfortable using it effectively.

“Excellent free animation learning”
Pros
OpenToonz has been a really good experience. Since it's free, I gave it a try and at first I honestly didn't understand much of how it worked. After spending a bit of time with it, though, I started to get the hang of the animation tools. There are plenty of helpful tutorials online if I get stuck which made a big difference. It's an excellent program to learn the basics of animation and I'd definitely recommend it for 2D work. I was even able to import my artwork from Procreate into OpenToonz and keep animating without trouble.
Cons
It isn't very self-explanatory, so I did have to look up some help. Still, with YouTube tutorials, I was able to figure things out in the end.

“Free Studio Ghibli developed”
Pros
It is a free, open-source 2D animation program that was developed by Studio Ghibli which is pretty amazing. It's extremely powerful and the fact that it costs me nothing makes it even better.
Cons
The interface could definitely look a bit nicer, since it has the feel of an older Windows application. On top of that, the learning curve is pretty steep and there aren't many good resources available to help you learn it.

“powerful free animation practice”
Pros
Having a free program with this much power is a big plus. I really enjoy the layer controls and the ability to draw every frame by hand. It gives me a lot of creative freedom and I mostly use it to practice different animation techniques.
Cons
Getting comfortable withthis programtakes a lot of time because the learning curve is very steep. I'd definitely recommend watching plenty of tutorials before jumping in fully. Some features, like reducing opacity and using onion skinning, are tucked away, so you have to dig around to find them.

“helpful for animation planning”
Pros
Being able to map out my animations in advance before jumping into my 3D work has been really useful. It gives me a better foundation to work from and noticeably improves the overall quality of my animation.
Cons
There is definitely a bit of a learning curve withthis software, although it still does what I need it to do. I'd also like to see a few more features added but as it is, it still gets the job done.
