“Really annoying

Pros

I think this software has some awesome and modern transitions, plus creative effects that iMovie just doesn't have. Don't get me wrong, iMovie is reliable but honestly it could use a major update. It's starting to feel pretty basic now.

Cons

I've had this software crash on me in the middle of editing a project, forcing me to start all over again from scratch. I've also never been able to go back to a saved project to make any changes, every time I try, I have to start everything over again.

“My experience with PowerDriector

Pros

I've been using this software for video editing for a while now and I think it's really comprehensive and easy to use. The recent updates added some very interesting AI features. Plus the audio editing side is pretty good too.

Cons

Unfortunately, I had to replace this video editing software with another one, mainly for convenience and because I wanted more features. That said, I do believe PowerDirector has all the features you need to get good results.

“Love it but a little glitchy

Pros

What I love about PowerDirector is how detailed it is. The editing abilities are at a professional level which makes it feel like a real full-scale editing tool.

Cons

It really bugs me that if you're not on the monthly subscription, my version becomes unstable every time they release a new version and start pushing ads for the subscription. Once the ads stop though, the software becomes pretty reliable again.

“Definitely for video editing experts

Pros

It has so many features and the price is really reasonable. Assembling a video isn't hard at all, it's actually very simple.

Cons

It's incredibly unstable. I tried moving an image to replace it and suddenly all the images disappeared. It wouldn't let me reload them, so my only choice was to start from scratch. Lost two hours of work because of this.

“Awesome software at a low price

Pros

It's very easy to use, doesn't cost a lot and comes with plenty of features to get the job done.

Cons

Every now and then, it just slows down or gets glitchy and I end up having to shut it down and start from the beginning again.

“Great affordable video editor

Pros

It is great for beginners! It's simple to pick up and it's more than enough to handle basic video editing.

Cons

One downside is that it doesn't support exporting in 10-bit color which ends up lowering the quality of the videos.

“Perfect for all your editing tasks

Pros

PowerDirector is way easier to use than other video editing software I've tried. The user interface is clear and I really like the tutorial it takes you through when you first download it. It covers all the important features that you'll actually use. I also love that you can export your video in different file formats depending on where you're uploading it.

Cons

I think It's pricey but it definitely offers way more features compared to free video editing software.
