Pros
From the first time I used it, TVPaint felt simple to pick up and even more easy to work in. I have relied on it through every part of my animation pipeline such as preproduction for animatics with audio tools that are quick to adjust, production where the built-in camera lets me map out my shots right inside the software instead of me depending on After Effects and post-production where I can handle shading, textures and color correction directly within my shot without exporting to another program.
Cons
Its biggest limitation is the lack of vector support. Once I finish a pixel-based drawing, resizing it up or down can make it look heavily pixelated, so I have to be very careful when planning shots around that restriction.
