great alternative

Pros

The thing I like the most about it is its affordable licensing prices and continuous development.

Cons

It still has some minor issues but they are gradually being fixed with each update.

We switched here and are happy with our decision

Pros

One thing that is good about it is that it offers more features than AutoCAD yet it costs less than half the price. What more could I ask for?

Cons

Some of the questions we ask support go unanswered.

A budget-friendly version of AutoCAD

Pros

The interface is easy to use pretty much resembling AutoCAD and it even includes command line options that I am already familiar with.

Cons

There are some bugs that I noticed and dynamic blocks are not supported.

Affordable choice

Pros

As someone like me who previously used AutoCAD it was pretty good not to have to learn a completely new program. As ZWCad looks almost identical.

Cons

Well I have noticed few annoying bugs as the system tends to crash after zooming in too much, sometimes it copies an object instead of moving it, the layer control page is nearly impossible to read without a magnifying glass, autosave does not always do its job and text editing occasionally replaces existing text rather than adding to it.

Amazing software

Pros

I find it an excellent tool that has a lot of useful features such as smart plot and smart mouse, file comparison for automatic modification reviews and flexi blocks.

Cons

Honestly I have not found anything wrong as it's working smoothly for me.

Excellent 2D drafting tool at a low price

Pros

ZWCAD's commands are quite similar to AutoCAD which makes it user friendly and perfect for anyone looking to handle 2D designs with ease.

Cons

Some of its features are more complicated compared to other products I come across. Plus exporting in any format can be a bit tricky too.

Good one

Pros

The performance is quite amazing and the interface is like other 2D programs which makes it easy to use. Also it supports a wide range of editable formats which I like about it. The floating licenses are also pretty handy for technical offices with several users.

Cons

Actually there is very little to complain about. For what I use it for it fits my needs really well.

Great value for the price

Pros

ZWCAD software is really user friendly and simple to use. So if you are just starting out, I mean if you are using such software for the first time you will get the hang of it pretty quickly.

Cons

I think the image editing for imported files could be improved.

I recommend using it

Pros

It provides various conversion options, supports 3D work and the tables are great for automatic area calculations. Plus we can easily switch to isometric view.

Cons

It was a bit difficult for me to get used to where the tools are located.

Dependable and cost-effective

Pros

ZWCAD has really made a difference in the CAD world for us. It is a dependable, scalable and more budget friendly for design projects. At 30% less than AutoCAD what stands out the most is how well it imports and exports AutoCAD DWGs, plus its strong performance with both simple and 3D designs. The interface is pretty much like AutoCAD so getting the hang of it is quick and easy.

Cons

Unlike AutoCAD they do not provide a free reader. Since the licenses are tied to specific machines we can't quickly open our drawings in read only mode on other devices during client meetings.
