After we upgraded from Magento 1 to Adobe Commerce, the 3 year contract cost around �100k and the build process took a year. While the platform is powerful, it might be more than necessary for small ecommerce businesses, particularly those selling a single product. The visual page builder is a significant upgrade from Magento 2 but it's still not fully ready for immediate use without some development work.

The constant development work required for quarterly security updates can be a bit much.
