has complete b2b features

Pros

After spending more than 20 years in eCommerce as a B2B consultant and solution architect, I have reviewed many platforms. It left a strong impression after a detailed demo and evaluation. Also its B2B eCommerce features are very complete, the Product Information Management capabilities are good too and the order routing and management tools are well built. The platform is also very easy to use and connects well with backend systems like ERPs and WMSs. It's marketed as a headless platform but it also includes its own native storefront which adds useful flexibility.

Cons

The only two notable gaps I noticed are the lack of a CRM module and the absence of a Marketplace module. That said, many B2B suppliers may not require either of these or they may already rely on separate systems to handle those functions.

Cost effective and reliable tool

Pros

It is a cost-effective and reliable e-commerce suite with great features that cover most of the web and app experiences an organization would want to build. It also comes with ready made integrations for payment aggregators and service providers, shipment tracking partners and includes built-in OMS, WMS and fraud check capabilities.

Cons

It�still falls short when�it�comes to supporting a true omni-channel journey and point-of-sale touchpoints.

Comes with core commerce features

Pros

This tool covers all the core commerce features you'd expect, including PIM, OMS, commerce, CMS and more. On top of that it performs very well and scales very well too. Our website pulls data from the tool backend and runs very fast. Their support team has also been fantastic and that level of support really matters a lot in India.

Cons

Every now and then, we've run into some regression issues while building new features. That said, the positive part is that the team responds very quickly and fixes those issues fast.

Right from the start, to me it feels like a very advanced platform and the user experience is honestly one of the best I have come across.

Cons

Modular architecture scales easily

Pros

One of the best things about BetterCommerce is its architecture. The modular setup has made it much easier for us to scale quickly and the API-first approach connects well with our internal applications. On top of that the team has been friendly, responsive and supportive throughout. Its SEO-friendly framework and mobile-first design have also helped us expand our marketing campaigns effectively. Plus the promotion engine has given us the ability to run and test several types of promotions we had never explored before. Really pleased with how it's been working for us.

Cons

At this point we haven't run into any issues with�it.

allows simple mobile access

Pros

Using it has been very easy. It's cloud-based, simple to navigate and I can also handle things through the mobile app which makes it very convenient.

Cons

One thing to note is that their team is based in India, although they are very responsive and quick to help through email and Zoom.

End to end view saves cost

Pros

Having an end-to-end solution that lets us monitor business activity from every angle has been a huge advantage. The 360-degree view is incredibly useful, the SLA levels have been excellent and the system is user friendly while still adapting well to all areas of our business. On top of that it has delivered significant cost savings.

Cons

Honestly the only downside is that we didn't get started with�it�sooner.

Freedom to turn ideas into reality

Pros

At The Fragrance Shop, putting the customer first is a huge priority and BetterCommerce has really supported our entrepreneurial and innovative way of creating better experiences. It gives us the freedom to turn ideas into reality without feeling limited in what we can offer customers. We've already built in annual membership, monthly subscription services and Fragrance Match and there's still plenty more we plan to add. As our online retail business has grown quickly over the last few years, this tool has kept up well by scaling with us, adding value and helping improve overall performance.

Cons

There's nothing I dislike at this stage as I am very happy with the progress we have made on�it.

provide better frontend control

Pros

Being an extendable headless platform, it gives us much better control when building and expanding our front-end applications. The API-first approach also makes integrations with other systems fairly easy which has been a big advantage for us.

Cons

The team has been very collaborative and quick to respond whenever any issues are reported, so I really don't have anything to complain about.

good for personalized experience

Pros

This tool really helped us as it lets us build a much clearer picture of each customer. At The Fragrance Shop, we've been working hard to stay more relevant by understanding shoppers better and learning what they genuinely prefer. We collect as much customer data as possible and feed it into BetterCommerce's Customer 360 and that has made a real difference. It supports our predictive analysis work and gives our store teams the insight they need to deliver a more personalized experience.

has a responsive support team

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how responsive the team is. They keep us updated regularly on ticket progress and whenever something urgent comes up, they're there to fix it fast. Turnaround times are consistently quick and having everything in one place also makes it simple to update quotes and orders without wasting time.

Cons

From time to time a few bugs do pop up and can make everyday tasks a bit more difficult but the team usually resolves them very quickly.

thoughtful partner for growth

Pros

I really appreciate the fact that they take the time to understand our needs. Because of that they can build something stronger and keep improving the customer experience over time. They never come across as a sales-driven company that just wants to rush through requests, send an invoice and move on. It feels much more like a long-term partnership where the platform keeps evolving and improving with us.

Cons

Since new functionality is being developed all the time, deciding when to properly review and explore�it�can be difficult. If something is important to us, we get involved from the start but if�it�doesn't seem relevant at first, we tend to leave�it�alone. The challenge is that some features that initially don't look useful can mature over time and become unexpectedly valuable and with limited capacity,�it's hard to know the right moment to revisit and assess that new functionality.

All in one solution

Pros

Choosing BetterCommerce came down to two big needs for us! Scalability and a platform that could handle more out of the box. It delivers both. Having OMS, PIM and the website all within one solution is something we did not really see elsewhere in eCommerce. Other providers offered packaged setups but they felt restrictive and usually came with costly add-ons, while still missing some of the core things we needed to support growth. A big difference with this one is the way they work with the client first. They took time to understand stakeholder needs and then built those into a system that actually fits how our business operates. Bringing all three areas together on one platform has given us a complete 360 view of the B2C process and added automation that we did not have before. One of our main goals was better data enrichment and that has been a major improvement. On previous systems, collecting data was difficult, slow and full of gaps that held the business back. Now we are able to capture data across the full B2C journey and that has played a key role in reshaping our business model and moving the company forward. Support has also been consistently strong. It did not end once we were onboarded. Plus it keeps working with us to improve the system, develop new needs as the business evolves and bring in updated UX/UI trends when needed.

Cons

Honestly there is nothing I dislike.�It�is a complete business solution that is actively supporting our growth and has clearly shown its value through KPI improvements since going live.

Easy to use and reasonably priced

Pros

Beyond the excellent results, the biggest advantage is how easy the system is to use. Having our e-commerce platform, OMS, PIM and a very detailed customer view all together in one place means that, as a smaller business, we can keep our attention on sales and marketing while relying on a dependable, scalable partner behind the scenes. The platform is flexible enough to handle our more unusual needs, including complex shipping needs and supporting both B2B and B2C, while still being very reasonably priced compared with other options we looked at. On top of that the team has been consistently helpful and approachable, offering knowledgeable advice and support as we continue to explore everything the platform can do.

Cons

After working with�it�for years, there has been very little to complain about and whenever a bug or issue comes up,�it�gets resolved quickly. If I had to mention one challenge,�it�would be that as�it�keeps growing and adding more features and sections,�it�can sometimes be a bit demanding for a smaller business to make sure we are fully taking advantage of everything and implementing new releases properly. That said, their team is always available to support us through that.
