“It's an all-in-one tool

You can download a complete list of all UK registered entities which I like most about it, as it simplifies my job.

Pros

It is easy to access and the dashboard puts a huge amount of information right at your fingertips. Plus the reports download with the full company title and the detailed reports are proven very useful to me.

Cons

One thing I have noticed is that not every report contains complete information so some can feel quite sparse. Plus this might be due to filing differences in certain countries.

The platform is very user friendly. Accessing the needed data is also simple and being able to upload my risk portfolio for monitoring is a great feature.

Cons

Compared to the UK, Companywatch Ireland seems less consistent to me when it comes to data accuracy.

It provides valuable insights into businesses and how they operate which helps us fully understand who we are dealing with.

At times the servers can be a bit slow which annoys me and the links feel somewhat clunky to navigate at first.

I really like how easy the platform is to use. Plus everything is clearly organized which makes navigation simple. And while some info can be found elsewhere, Company Watch puts everything right at our fingertips.

Cons

The only thing I dislike about it is needing three pieces of info to log in such as company name, username and password. As I think just email and password would be enough.

It offers accurate company information and all filed documents can be downloaded. Also I like the fact that it shows group structures for companies with complex setups.

Let me tell all the users upfront that the database might not cover all companies or industries fully especially in emerging markets and niche sectors.

I find it great for checking organizational structures and information on bad debtors.

Well I use it alongside other analytics tools and Companies House. Which tells it is not a complete solution but definitely a helpful addition.

The only downside I can think of is that it takes a long time to upload newly filed accounts.

I find it pretty simple to navigate, the API returns strong data and it is easy to view directors and shareholders in a clear yet user friendly way. Plus support from both the Relationship Manager and Support Desk is always quick and helpful.

Sometimes the information can be outdated compared to the latest updates on Companies House which I don't like.

The data analysis tools are versatile and highly accurate. Also the reporting and predictive modeling are excellent and the at at-a-glance visuals help my Group MD quickly understand the key points of a risk assessment which helps in important commercial decisions.

Cons

No complaints to share as for over three years I thoroughly researched the market carefully evaluating and questioning different providers. After weighing the options I ultimately chose Company Watch from a shortlist of three strong candidates. This decision is reviewed every year to make sure the provider remains the best fit for our needs.
