GotPhoto Features

GotPhoto offers several ways to tag photos that help photographers identify subjects quickly during busy sessions. Options include scanning QR cards, barcode scanning, facial recognition, and tap-to-tag using a digital name list. Photographers can also upload detailed pre-registered name lists with client and parent details and use tethered shooting or manual tagging when needed, making the process flexible and adaptable.

The online shop from GotPhoto works smoothly on mobile devices, so customers can easily browse and order photos from their phones or tablets. It supports different sales methods like prepay, online proofing, or a mix called Prepay+, which combines both. Features such as customizable packages, upselling options, tiered discounts, and free digital downloads help make ordering straightforward and user-friendly.

GotPhoto includes automated email and SMS campaigns that send personalized messages to customers based on their activity, like when photos are ready or coupons are about to expire. Customer information is securely stored and organized, making communication smoother and more consistent.

The platform provides tools to create virtual graphics and composites, which work well for sports teams and class photos through the Next Gen software. AI-powered editing services like Pure Photos and Perfectly Clear help improve image quality, saving time on manual retouching. Simple cropping tools are available for both photographers and parents to make quick adjustments before finalizing orders.

GotPhoto connects with many labs across the US and Canada, allowing paid orders to be sent directly to trusted printing partners. Photographers can choose to automate order processing or handle fulfillment themselves using Darkroom software. Can't imagine working without it

Pros

It is packed with a lot of good things. Such as organizational management, custom email and SMS marketing, lab integrations, free downloads, a user-friendly shopping cart, QR code tagging with Entagged and lots more.

Cons

One thing I have noticed that after making changes on certain pages or subjects, it takes me back to the start page which is not ideal and slows down the workflow a bit.

School photographers best friend

Pros

It is essential to my success in school photography. It makes it easy to identify the kids I am photographing and gives parents a simple way to view and order photos online. The print lab integration means all orders process automatically, so once I load the job I'm basically done. Plus throughout the process I can market directly to parents who have not ordered yet which helps me reach as many as possible and apply that marketing to other parts of my business. I could not run my business without it as it has helped me grow a lot.

Cons

Many of the issues I had before are gone now because GotPhoto constantly updates based on user feedback. Though getting started was a bit awkward at first but now the setup process is pretty simple and did not take much of my effort.
