Has everything I was looking for

Pros

PALMA software is very easy to use. Yes you will need some training and support at first but once you get the hang of it, everything in PALMA is well connected. The configuration logic is really helpful too and PALMA can integrate with other software. Also there are different ways to view our data whether it is for product planning, engineering or more.

Cons

We are unable to manage technical solutions across the full product variant structure and it might be helpful to combine CT and PCM for a better solution.

A simple way to manage data and models

Pros

It gives you a great overview and understanding of the impact when making changes. Data management is also efficient even in a multi-editor environment. Plus I find it very user friendly.

Cons

In our experience the system tends to be slow. While there can be multiple reasons for this in a web application it still negatively impacts the user experience.

Pretty perfect

Pros

I find this tool simply excellent for defining and managing a modular architecture. Its biggest value comes from how it creates connections, rules and traceability which can be tricky with traditional tools.

Cons

The tool is not the most user friendly at first so training is very important. However once the training is completed it becomes an excellent tool for managing a modular architecture.

Proven to be the best for us

Pros

The support and visibility when configuring products and their variations is something I really find amazing. Also it helps both decision makers and engineers make the right choices ensuring the portfolio stays profitable and customer satisfaction remains high over time.

Cons

I feel like the ease of use for all stakeholders needs to be continuously improved.

Does the job well

Pros

If you are looking to create and manage modular product architecture this software is a must. It guides us through the process of creating a modular system. Also PALMA links everything together so you can see how your decisions affect the bigger picture.

Cons

It is actually hard for me to pinpoint what needs to be improved. Some tools could benefit from further responsiveness improvements but that is already being worked on.
