5.0

simple ux and flexible product model

Pros

One of the biggest strengths is the user experience, especially since most people using the PIM aren't very technical. It's also worth mentioning that I can create my own product model and include all the fields I need.

Cons

There isn't a native option for handling pricing in multiple currencies.

flexible export scripts

Pros

A feature I really appreciate is the export channels, especially being able to add your own small scripts before exporting. It's easy to set up and the documentation does a very good job of explaining how to implement everything.

Cons

The part that still feels missing is a more convenient way to move around categories. Adding drag-and-drop would make that much better.

centralized data that delivers

Pros

Having everything centralized has been really helpful and the software is flexible enough to handle all of the challenges we deal with.

Cons

Getting started took a little time because the learning curve was somewhat tough at first but it became much clearer not long after.

fantastic support and multilingual tools

Pros

Using this software feels very easy for us and the support team has been amazing whenever help is needed. The multi-language support is also really good for us.

Cons

It would be better to have clearer visibility into sync progress, along with the option to rearrange image order directly within the program.

clean sync with AECOC

Pros

A big reason we use this software is to connect our product data with AECOC DATA and AECOC MEDIA. That synchronization has made our internal processes much simpler for us and everything is more manageable now. The tool is user-friendly and has a polished, well-designed interface for us. The edit mode view is especially helpful for checking product information and the ability to filter by any field gets a lot of use as well. We now have one central place to manage all product images and from there they are distributed to every channel which has improved the overall quality of our product information.

Cons

Getting the integration working with our data and with AECOC was somewhat complex for our category, since part of the setup had to be developed along the way together. Now that everything is fully developed, it works properly.

user-friendly setup and support

Pros

Starting out with it feels very easy for us and the platform is simple to understand. Uploading information and keeping it updated is comfortable and uncomplicated for us. Whenever questions come up, the support team is always there to assist and connecting it with third-party tools is also a simple process for us.

Cons

The newer interface seems to put more emphasis on looks. It functions properly but the update feels more focused on aesthetics than on keeping things simple.

reliable live stock sync

Pros

Getting this set up with my online stores was very easy for me and it fits in well with the way I already work. It keeps my inventory completely up to date and lets me refresh product information live which is a huge help for my day-to-day management.

Cons

At times, the connection with online stores can run into conflicts because of the different platform versions. Still, it's usually something that can be sorted out with support from the technical team.

flexible and user-friendly platform

Pros

Using this product feels very easy for us and it offers more flexibility than many other tools or platforms I've worked with.

Cons

One thing that still needs improvement is the lack of a unique EAN code concept, since the system currently lets you save multiple products under the same EAN.

reliable support and flexible api

Pros

Whenever questions come up, the support team is very responsive and helpful for us. The API makes it simple to connect with other systems and importing or exporting data is easy. I also really appreciate the Excel-style mode for making bulk edits which saves us a lot of time.

Cons

The biggest downside right now is that updating content in PrestaShop feels slower than I'd like. It's supposed to improve a lot in future versions. I also wish there were a way to automate field updates when certain conditions are triggered by other fields.

5.0

fresh and innovative catalog control

Pros

From the start, getting started was very easy for us and the system is simple for all kinds of staff to learn and use. It feels modern, fresh and innovative which made adoption even easier for us. We were able to begin with a free trial account without sitting through meetings or writing long specifications and I had everything up and running within just a couple of days. It's a huge improvement over maintaining a product database in Excel. We can export the full product catalog in seconds and keep both our website and ERP updated daily, including price calculations based on currency, margins and freight costs.

Cons

A few interface changes, such as switching from variant view to product view, could be better. The Excel import feature would also be more useful if import profiles could be saved under different names. Still, these are only minor issues.

fast support and practical imports

Pros

Getting this PIM up and running in the company was very manageable for us, especially with the help of customer support. The support team is extremely knowledgeable and responds quickly. The Excel import makes it much simpler to bring in and update product data. On top of that, the connector allows us to transfer product data to our shop system without much trouble, even manually when needed.

Cons

At the beginning, some of the logic and functions are a bit hard to follow. If you don't have a programming background, creating and understanding the connector formulas can be quite challenging. Also, the data sync between the system and our shop system is not real-time, so updates take a bit longer than expected.

5.0

feature-rich and dependable tool

Pros

New features keep getting added and what started out as something that brought extra value to our business has now become much more than that, it's a core part of our IT setup for us. It's simple to work with without sacrificing functionality. The support team is outstanding as well, always giving helpful answers and making sure to follow up.

Cons

One concern with the live connections to websites and similar channels is that they can also create real risk when using a PIM system. If I make a mistake in the PIM, that error can end up going live on the website very quickly. I really miss having some kind of panic button or a feature that could stop the data flow when something has gone wrong.

4.0

fast imports and modern interface

Pros

One of the things I've enjoyed most is how simple it is to import large volumes of information and organize it without much effort. This platform makes working with databases that contain thousands of references and a lot of data feel much more manageable for me than ever. It also helps that the interface feels current and well designed, with a strong focus on usability.

Cons

At the same time, even though the interface is one of the parts I appreciate most, it also has a major downside: there's no room for user-level customization. It would be much better if the platform could be adapted to each client's needs, whether that means rearranging panels or requesting specific developments to cover more specialized requirements.

shopify setup and product control

Pros

Getting this connected with common systems is very manageable for us thanks to the available connector options. We hooked it up to Shopify without much trouble and with a bit of support from the SL team, we were able to handle the setup on our own. On a daily basis, managing product data has become much more efficient for us because we can quickly filter items that are missing images or specific fields. The grid view also makes bulk editing groups of products much more convenient for us.

Cons

One thing that slows us down is adding new images to a product in the library, since they have to be uploaded one by one. A multi-select option would save a lot of time, especially when you're adding 5 or 6 images at once.

Pros

It's very user-friendly for us and the support team behind it has been amazing to work with.

Cons

Managing image order, color changes and alt text updates in our Shopify store isn't very simple or convenient. It also gets expensive over time for very large catalogs with more than 10,000 SKUs, especially if the catalog keeps growing every year.

Pros

5.0

perfect workflows and real value

Pros

After more than five years of using it, two things have kept me loyal. The biggest one is the interface. It's very easy to use and my team needed very little training before they were comfortable with it. It also supports multiple workflows which has been especially helpful since I manage people with different working styles. Everyone has been able to find a way to enter, sort, filter and update data that fits how they think. Making changes to data and files is simple as well. The table view feels a lot like Excel which is a huge plus, because you can either make small one-off edits or update large sets of data quickly. This is actually the second company where I've introduced it and before recommending it to my current employer I did a very thorough review of PIM alternatives. Against the bigger competitors, it cost only a fraction of the price which was a major advantage. The other platforms came with heavy implementation fees, partly because they required backend customization. That wasn't the case here since everything is self-serve. Even the monthly fee was roughly half of what competing vendors quoted me.

Cons

Honestly, I'm such a big fan that I don't have much to criticize. The one challenge some companies might run into is needing developer support to connect it with custom templates. I already had a resource for that, so it wasn't an issue for me. Since it has an API that any developer can work with, I don't see it being a major obstacle.
