Complete toolkit for online stores

Pros

You really don't need to be an expert to get started with this platform. It feels like a very simple toolbox where a lot is already set up for you from the beginning. Setting up the store is easy and there are plenty of apps available in their catalog, both free and paid. You can also keep improving and expanding your online shop little by little as you get more comfortable with the platform. Even a beginner with the help of the many useful tips available, can build a very nice online store. There are also tons of tutorials on YouTube which says a lot about how popular and successful the platform is.

Cons

Building a professional web presence in e-commerce still takes time with a lot to learn and many steps along the way. For dedicated developers and entrepreneurs though, it remains a truly solid solution for creating an online business. The learning process can feel long when trying to understand all of its features and with so many extra apps available, there are plenty of options to consider adding. there isn't really a major weakness to point out, it's more that this is a tool that simply takes time to fully master.

solid platform

Pros

Running multiple eCommerce sites on it has worked out really well for us. It's very simple to get everything set up, the platform is easy to use day to day and the pricing feels reasonable for what it offers.

Cons

Biggest downside is not being able to customize the sites exactly the way we want. On top of that integrating this with our existing ERP and CRM systems can be challenging.

Useful integrations

Pros

We run two separate storefronts on it and being able to upload as many products as we need has been really helpful. I use the platform often even though I only rely on a handful of specific features. Setting up discount codes is very easy and posting blog content doesn't take much effort either. The dashboard and menu are simple to figure out which makes daily use pretty manageable. It's also convenient to add team members and limit their access to only the tools they need. On top of that there are plenty of integrations available that have helped us pull in more sales data and improve the look and performance of our product pages.

Cons

There are quite a few templates to choose from but the blog design options feel a little dated visually. That said, being able to connect the store with other design software is definitely a nice advantage.

scales beautifully with your business

Pros

Works really well as a business grows. You can get a store up and running without any software development background and if you bring in a professional developer, it can be expanded into a truly effective, serious website.

Cons

The third party apps are helpful but they do not always work nicely together and that can cause issues. Its biggest opportunity in my opinion, is improving how well those apps integrate with each other.

helpful coding references

Pros

Whenever I needed documentation or examples to write code properly, it usually had the references I was looking for.

Cons

If you're not very comfortable with coding, tracking down exactly what you need in the platform can be tough. There are lots of references saved and shared by users but without stronger search, you can end up running into duplicate code examples you've already gone through.

great features

Pros

We've been using this for our website since day one and honestly, we couldn't be happier with it. It comes with plenty of features, it's simple to work with, the themes look excellent and the pricing is very reasonable.

Cons

A few features that are available in WordPress aren't included in this platform.

my review

Pros

After trying several website builders, this has easily been my favorite. Nothing else I tested really compares. It comes packed with features, the platform is very user friendly and being able to integrate other apps into it makes running my store much more manageable.

Cons

Honestly there isn't anything I dislike about it.

works well!

Pros

It works really well for different kinds of businesses. One thing I really appreciate is being able to use the interface with carrier API keys and connect that directly into the shopping cart experience.

Cons

There's definitely some difficulty with its backend if you're new to it. It helps to reach out to people in your industry or network who can guide you until you get more comfortable with the platform.

solid online store foundation

Pros

Launching a website, adding products and selling online through the basic system works really well and feels very easy to use.

Cons

Actually setting up and managing your own products on the platform takes quite a bit more effort and know-how. I've been following it for several years and I'm still discovering new features and possibilities including things like the API.

quick start

Pros

Having a free trial before committing made the decision a lot easier. I also really appreciate the third party apps that integrate with the platform since they add a lot of flexibility and make the store more functional.

Cons

One area that could be improved is the product listing process. For example, when creating listings, I'd really like to have a better option for bulk listing items.

reliable customer support

Pros

Whether you're just getting started or already experienced, it works really well for both. The 14-day free trial is a nice bonus and the platform is very user friendly. There's also a wide selection of beautiful themes to choose from which makes setting up a store more appealing. On top of that, their 24/7 support team is excellent and makes troubleshooting much less of a trouble. The App Store is another strong point, giving store owners access to both free and paid apps.

Cons

Since I'm based in South Africa, I'm unable to use their offered payments as my payment gateway. I really wish they would extend that service to more countries. Aside from that, I honestly don't have any other complaints.

Great order tracking

Pros

The way it tracks the entire order flow is excellent! We're able to view timing, product choices, payment confirmation, shipping and tracking details all in one place. The level of operational analysis is incredibly detailed and it gives us the data we need to fine-tune our advertising budget and reach new markets more effectively.

Cons

A few sorting options are still missing though especially for segmenting customer lists to spot auto-ship users and repeat buyers. Some customer data filters also don't behave as accurately as they should. For example sorting by city or state can return unrelated results, searching for West Virginia may also pull up Virginia or even customers with the name Virginia.

excellent option!

Pros

This platform does a really good job of letting just about anyone become a merchant which opens the door for more people to start selling online. It gives users the tools to launch a store without much trouble and the mobile app is especially useful for managing everything while away from a computer.

Cons

At the beginning some parts of the web store features felt limiting because I couldn't customize my pages as much as I wanted. More recently though, that seems to have improved a lot and it's now possible to build much more polished and attractive storefronts.

review for platform

Pros

Was very easy for us to use! We run our online store on it and the shipping integrations along with the Shop Pay network are absolutely essential. There's a huge selection of apps and added features so it's possible to customize it to fit very specific business needs. We rely on the platform every day to help drive more sales from our brick and mortar store.

Cons

Issue we run into from time to time is that image quality can get compressed or the colors can shift during import. I really wish it offered a better in-browser file system for product images that could help with sizing and make sure everything looks right before publishing. At the moment, your product photos need to be nearly perfect before importing them and that can be difficult sometimes.

add changes along the way

Pros

We had everything set up and ready within a day even with a lot of customizations added along the way. If we had chosen to keep it simple and just list products and start promoting them, we could have been live on day one without any trouble.

Cons

Our only real complaint is the pricing. It would be even better if it offered some kind of discount for non-profits.

boosted our sales

Pros

Back when I first rolled out it, I needed one platform that could handle both online sales for our organization and in-person sales at conferences. We were selling a mix of physical and digital products so I needed something that could manage everything in one place. It delivered exactly that. It was easy to set up and it helped us grow sales by 35% year over year. Since then, I've launched about six more sites and I still appreciate how flexible and user friendly the platform is.

Cons

My biggest frustration with this platform is how many features depend on third party apps. A lot of functions that competing platforms include natively gets pushed into the app marketplace instead. That can get pretty frustrating especially when I need to add things like subscriptions, gift messages or similar extras and end up feeling nickel-and-dimed.

user friendly

Pros

Setting up a professional online store with this platform feels very easy even for someone without a technical background. The interface is accessible and simple to figure out so building and managing a store doesn't require any coding at all. There are plenty of free themes to choose from along with a wide selection of premium ones if you want more design options. The built in email marketing feature is also helpful for sending campaigns at a lower cost. On top of that, it works well for dropshipping and handles tax calculations automatically which saves a lot of effort.

Cons

A limitation is that each product only comes with 3 variant options and if you need more flexibility, you have to pay for an extension or custom fields. Their payments solution also isn't supported in every country so using a third party payment gateway can mean extra fees. Another downside is that real time carrier shipping is locked behind the more expensive plans only.

versatile tools

Pros

Running a business with this platform has been incredibly easy. It comes with a wide range of features that are useful for just about any type of business and the customer support is outstanding. Most of the portals are pretty self-explanatory so getting around the system usually doesn't take much effort. On the rare occasion something is unclear or an error pops up, the support team is extremely detailed when helping fix it. They never make you feel clueless or like you're wasting their time and they often share extra tips and tricks that help improve your overall content. I've personally talked with several support reps who also run the accounts themselves and every one of them has been genuinely pleasant to deal with. Whether it's dropshipping, selling your own products or services or almost any business that takes payments, it covers it all. From manual sales entries to point-of-sale systems to cash transactions, it keeps track of everything and gives customers several payment options to choose from. I also really appreciate how simple it is to let multiple people log in like employees or anyone else authorized to make sales. And one of the biggest advantages is being able to access it from any computer, smartphone, tablet and more without needing to invest in expensive software or bulky register machines anymore.

Cons

There's very little I can say against it. For what the solution provides, it really hits the mark. If I had to mention anything, it would just be that it isn't free :) but something this capable realistically couldn't and probably shouldn't, be free anyway.
