“It is a scam
Pros
The sales team knows how to play it smart with customers by pushing them into buying extra services that don't really offer much value. So take my advice and be cautious.
Cons
They make you pay for trading partners even if you are not doing any actual business with them through SPS which just does not make sense to me.

“I am a huge fan
Pros
SPS Commerce has been pretty easy and reliable for us. Their invoicing tools can be customized to fit each customer's needs and compliance rules. Plus it really keeps things smooth and automated for our team.
Cons
We have run into a few hiccups where things get glitchy so we will have to log out, restart or refresh. Other than this nothing major, just minor bugs here and there.

“An amazing company with even better people
Pros
The team we work with has been highly responsive to what we need. In other words the customer support has been amazing. Also it is such a relief to have support based in the US instead of overseas call centers.
Cons
I must say the pricing is definitely on the higher side but honestly you do get the best value out of it over time.

“Team responds quickly
Pros
SPS Commerce platform has a nice and clean interface. Anytime I have had a question, their chat and support team have been pretty quick to respond.
Cons
My only issue is that forms sometimes change and we do not always get a heads-up about it.

“New user so cannot say much
Pros
I found the system pretty easy to get around. I had zero experience with EDI before this but the training materials made it simple to pick up. Still what really stands out is the support team as they have answered every question quickly and clearly. And as our business grows it's great knowing SPS has our back.
Cons
Well I do not really have anything to complain about here.

“Ideal for small businesses aiming to expand
Pros
It is quite accessible and beginner friendly. Even if you are brand new to EDI, it is not hard to learn. The fast support makes a huge difference too. And since I am the only one handling EDI in our small team being able to reach out to an expert has been a lifesaver. Everyone we have worked with at SPS has been kind, clear and helpful. They have helped us sort out so many issues and supported our growth every step of the way. So big thanks to them.
Cons
This one is specific but I wish the error messages on transactions were easier to understand. Right now all I see is a bunch of code and without EDI knowledge, it is meaningless to me. So I feel like it would be helpful if there was a brief, plain-language note at the top of the error screen to explain what went wrong. Also the cross-reference entry process is very clunky as it kicks me out of the filtered view after I save an edit which gets annoying fast.

“Fairly easy to use
Pros
It is easy to use and I am in it every day. Overall it is a pretty versatile tool that can handle a lot.
Cons
Customer service can take a bit of time to get back to us but they usually do respond eventually so nothing too serious.

“Definitely not recommended
Pros
Honestly I have found nothing good to say. Feels like they don't care about their customers at all. If you decide to work with them, good luck as you will need it.
Cons
The tech feels outdated and the service just does not feel genuine. Honestly it came across to me as unprofessional and not well informed.

“Better if you explore other options
Pros
If you want a totally hands-off approach and don't plan to bring on new business relationships, then maybe they are okay. Otherwise I would say not so much.
Cons
Support is slow and the error messages causes a lot of confusion to me. They have cornered the market with some companies which means even if you use another EDI provider, you are still forced to test through SPS. So if you have got any EDI background, this setup will likely drive you nuts.

“It is below average
Pros
We only use it because Chemist Warehouse requires it. That is really the only reason we are on it.
Cons
The Assortment module is a nightmare as it makes you fill in a spreadsheet with 196 columns for every SKU even if half of those don't apply. Like we cannot leave anything blank and it just does not work well in real-world use.

“Avoid it!
Pros
Well I cannot say I was impressed as the whole experience just felt pretty underwhelming.
Cons
Communication and support weren not very responsive which was frustrating when we needed help.
